Abstract

PURPOSE: A shock absorbing device for a seat of a vehicle with a gas spring and a gas cylinder is provided to adjust buffer force by pushing or pulling a lever simply, to adjust a height of the seat and to use a soft shock absorbing device by not generating noise in compression and tension. CONSTITUTION: A shock absorbing device for a seat of a vehicle has a gas spring(11) and a gas cylinder(12). The gas spring is installed to a rear end of a lower plate(16) to be connected to a connecting flange(22) with a shaft(21). The gas spring absorbs shock and noise in compression and tension without mechanical friction. The gas cylinder is installed to a front end of an upper plate to be connected to a connecting flange(26) with a shaft(25). A button(24) is installed to the gas cylinder to adjust a length of a rod(23). A lever(27) is combined together to operate the button easily when the gas cylinder is combined. A flange(30) is installed to tips of rods(28) of the gas spring and the gas cylinder to be combined each other with a shaft(29). A roller(31) is inserted to the flange to support the rod of the gas spring horizontally. A plate(32) is installed to the lower plate to move the roller freely. A moving surface(32a) of the roller is protruded from the plate. Thereby, buffer force is adjusted by pushing and pulling the lever, and a height of the seat is adjusted at the same time.
