Abstract

PURPOSE: An air-in tire for a vehicle is provided to minimize the resistance of air and to prevent noise by improving the pattern shape in a side wall portion of the tire. CONSTITUTION: The sectional shape of a thread(40) to form a knurling portion(4) is formed in a scalene shape. The shape is differed from the neighbor thread. A larger side(42) among each side(41,42,43) of the thread(40) is formed in the tip of a rotating direction of a tire. A shorter side(43) is formed in the tail of the rotating direction of the tire. Thereby, the resistance of air is minimized and the generation of noise is prevented.

Description

Pneumatic tire for dwindling air resistance}Pneumatic tire for dwindling air resistance

The present invention relates to a pneumatic tire for automobiles with reduced air resistance, and more particularly, to improve the shape of the pattern formed on the sidewall portion of the tire to minimize the resistance of the air, and to prevent the generation of noise The present invention relates to a pneumatic tire for automobiles with reduced resistance.

In general, the tread portion pattern of the tire has a variety of patterns according to the performance of the tire, but the side wall portion of the tire has only a shape such that the logo of the manufacturer and the letters indicating the performance of the tire are carved without a special pattern.

However, when a consumer sees a tire mounted on a vehicle, more attention is given to the sidewall than the tread of the tire, and the tires are selected by the tire manufacturers in recent years as the shape and pattern of the sidewall are often selected. Various patterns and shapes are expressed on the moon to attract the eyes of consumers.

BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS Fig. 1 is a side view showing a tire in the related art, and Fig. 2 is an enlarged cross-sectional view showing an extract of a knurling portion formed in a side wall portion.

As shown in Fig. 1 and Fig. 2, the tire in the related art forms a knurled portion 4 having an uneven shape (comb pattern) on the side wall portion 2, and the side due to the difference in brightness of light reflected by the knurled portion. Logos and characters imprinted on the lunar part 2 were highlighted.

However, in the conventional knurled portion as shown in the accompanying drawings, Figure 2, the peak forming the knurled portion and the pitch (P) of the mountain is the same, there is a limit in the design change, the cross-sectional shape of the knurling is a regular triangle or trapezoidal shape As it is formed as a lot of air resistance in the knurled portion 4 during the rotation of the tire, it was found that there is a problem that abnormal noise is generated by the air hitting the knurled portion 4 of the same pitch.
