종래의 원터치캔의 윗면에는 분리가 될 수 있도록 원형으로 파여진 홈(3)이 있다. 이 홈의 안쪽에 좁은 폭으로 접착제(2)를 바르고 그 위에 비닐이나 고무로 된 얇은 테이프(1)을 부착시킨다. 이때 부착되는 테이프(1)는 접착제(2)가 칠해진 부분 뿐 아니라 홈(3)의 바깥 부분도 덮도록 한다, 그리하여 실제 캔에서 뚜껑 부분이 분리되었을 때, 테이프(1)가 분리 된 뚜껑의 바깥 부분까지 덮도록 한다. 분리된 뚜껑의 날카로운 옆면에 의한 상해를 막기 위해선 그 옆면을 완벽하게 다른 부드러운 물질로 감싸면 되지만 그럴 경우 캔의 뚜껑과 몸체를 부착시킬 수가 없다. 하지만 분리된 뚜껑의 안과 밖, 양면 중 한쪽 면에만 뚜껑의 바깥 부분까지 돌출된 테이프를 부착하면 캔의 뚜껑과 몸체를 부착 시킬 수도 있고, 뚜껑 옆으로 돌출된 테이프가 피부와 뚜껑의 날카로운 옆면과의 접촉을 막아 주므로 날카로운 옆면에 의한 상해도 막을 수 있다.On the upper surface of the conventional one-touch can there is a groove (3) cut in a circle to be separated.
