Abstract
The present invention relates to a sterilization system of a water purifier using a photocatalyst.
According to the present invention, the sterilizer is composed of a one-touch filter cartridge (1 in FIG. 1) filled with a UV lamp (2 in FIG. 1) and a photocatalyst (3 in FIG. 1).
According to the present invention, the raw water is configured to sterilize using a photocatalyst sterilization apparatus (5 of FIG. 2) before the water purification process is finished and goes to the water storage tank (6 of FIG. 2). The water of the reservoir tank having a high possibility of secondary pollution by passing through the photocatalyst sterilizer continuously using a circulation pump (7 in FIG. 2) was configured to further increase the safety from bacteria.
Description
The present invention relates to a sterilization system of a water purifier.
Generally, the water purifier consists of four stages: pretreatment sedimentation filter, pretreatment carbon filter, reverse osmosis (R / O) filter or hollow fiber membrane filter, and aftertreatment carbon filter. The purified water is stored in the reservoir tank and continuously refrigerated It is supposed to be kept. The time the purified water stays in the reservoir tank varies depending on the amount of water used. However, since the water in the reservoir itself is in contact with the atmosphere, the reservoir tank has easily become a habitat for bacteria. Since most water purifiers have secondary contamination problems caused by bacterial habitats, new alternatives are needed to prevent them.
Recently, an ozone sterilizer and a UV sterilizer are installed to sterilize purified water and send it to a reservoir tank. However, water stored for a long time in the water storage tank has a limit on safety since it is easily inhabited by bacteria because the disinfection function decreases with time.
An object of the present invention is to provide a water purification system that is safe from bacteria by a complete sterilization treatment.

The outer (1 in FIG. 1) material of the photocatalyst sterilizer of the present invention was made of plastic and the inside was coated with aluminum foil so that the ultraviolet rays emitted from the UV lamp (2 in FIG. 1) were reflected to increase sterilization effect. In addition to the sterilization effect by ultraviolet light, the empty space inside the cartridge was filled with a photocatalyst (3 in FIG. 1) to form peroxides and ozone in water so that the sterilization power was continuously maintained to the curse tank.
The present invention is designed by applying such a photocatalyst sterilizer (FIG. 2 and 5 of FIG. 3) to a conventional water purifier as shown in FIG. It is the principle of operation of the present invention to maintain the sterilization effect and to block bacterial infection by continuously passing the purified water using a circulation pump (7 of FIGS. 2 and 3) through a photocatalyst sterilizer.
Figure 2 shows that the subject innovation is applied to a water purifier with a reservoir. The water in the reservoir tank was circulated back to the photocatalyst sterilizer by operating a circulation pump (7 in FIG. 2) to make the reservoir tank completely safe from bacteria.
Figure 3 shows that the subject innovation is applied to a water purifier without a reservoir. Even in this case, the sterilization effect was enhanced by regularly circulating the water in the pipe line.
The present invention can fundamentally solve the problem of bacterial contamination of water purifiers, and contribute to the improvement of national health by raising the level of public health by supplying clean drinking water without bacteria.
