우리나라도 대부분의 가정에 수돗물을 사용하고 있다. 이 수돗물에는 가구마다 계측기(계량기)가 부착 되어 있다. 이 계측기은 겨울철의 혹한에 많이 동파가 되고 있는 경우를 우리의 주위에서 자주 목격 할 수 있다. 이러한 동파은 일상생활의 불편은 물론 주위에 물 바다가 되는 등 많은 피해를 주고 있다. 이러한 문제점을 해결코자 무동파 계측기를 개발하게 되었다.Korea also uses tap water in most households.
