Abstract

PURPOSE: A DC(Direct Current) voltage transformer is provided to improve the procedure of DC voltage conversion by chopping and applying DC voltage to a transformer, converting the applied voltage into a predetermined voltage, rectifying the converted voltage through a rectifier, and obtaining a desired DC voltage through a smoothing circuit. CONSTITUTION: A relay(1) is installed at an input side of a transformer(5). Contacts(2,3,4) for the relay(1) is installed. In order to convert a DC voltage, the DC voltage is applied to an input terminal(8). A current from the input terminal(8) flows to excite the relay(1). Thereafter, the contacts(2,3) are opened and the contact(4) is closed to apply an AC(Alternating Current) voltage to the transformer(5). The AC voltage transformed by the transformer(5) passes a rectifier(6) to be converted into a DC voltage. The DC voltage from the rectifier(6) is transmitted to an output terminal(9) through a smoothing circuit(7).
