Abstract

PURPOSE: A TV set-top-box using a PC is provided to effectively transmit video and audio signals to a TV through wired and wireless media and automatically convert monitor resolution of the PC in order to view Internet images through the TV. CONSTITUTION: A TV set-top-box using a PC includes a motor system for interfacing with a home PC and a son system for interfacing with a TV. The mother system is composed of the first connection part connected with the PC, the second connection part connected with the son system, and a signal processor for processing signals transmitted and received between the two connection parts. The first connection part includes connection jacks that connect outputs of a keyboard, a mouse and a sound card of the PC to the mother system and connect VGA and audio signals from the mother system to a monitor and a speaker of the PC.
