Abstract

PURPOSE: Structure for installing a gasket of an engine head cover is provided to keep airtightness of a gasket and a head cover and to improve noise and vibration damping property. CONSTITUTION: A gasket bar(1) is formed in the I shape by covering rubber around an iron core. A gasket rail is formed on a cylinder head(106) and a head cover(102). While the gasket rail is formed in the I shape, the gasket bars are inserted. The head cover is firmly combined with the cylinder head by fastening bolts. Then, the gasket bars keep airtightness by being compressed due to the head cover and the cylinder head. According to the iron core in the gasket bar, noise and vibration damping property is improved.
