Abstract

PURPOSE: A deflection yoke is provided to induce strongly convergence of an R beam and a B beam and correct distortion of a G beam so as to correct convergence error generated on a screen. CONSTITUTION: A deflection yoke comprises a separator(11) of a horn shape, and a horizontal deflection coil mounted at inside of the separator(11) for horizontally deflecting an electron beam, and a vertical deflection coil(12) at outside of the separator(11) for vertically deflecting the electron beam. The vertical deflection coil(12) has two correction steel sheets(20,21) of silicon steel plates in its inside. The correction steel sheet(20) is attached to the outer front face of the separator(11) and strongly induces convergence of an R beam and a G beam. The correcting steel sheet(21) is attached to the outer back face of the separator(11). When a pulse is applied to the deflection coil, the deflection yoke(10) increases vertical deflective magnetic field using the two correcting steel sheet(20,21) to correct convergence error on a screen.
