Abstract

PURPOSE: A telephone voice domain and a voice portal using a VXML are provided for a user to search and use information through a voice domain by using an IVR(interactive voice response), VXML, voice compounding, and voice recognition on a telephone network. CONSTITUTION: A VXML server makes functions of a mouse and a monitor be operated by voice recognition and voice composition on a telephone network and a web. A VXML editor has a scenario generator concept performing a generalization of a function of a GUI editor for editing an HTML document on a web for a service on a telephone network. VXML element techniques having a compatibility compared to the existing voice recognition and voice compounding techniques are developed and connected to a concept of a voice domain.

Description

Phone Voice Domain & Voice Portal Using VXML {Telephone Voice domain & Voice Portal Using VXML}

The concept of domain refers to the address of a web page on the Internet. This was only available through a tool called a computer. However, it is impossible to surf the web or search for information without a computer. Even when trying to find information on the telephone network, the existing 700 service structure is very limited. Also, in the future IMT-2000, the related terminal performs the function of a PC, but there is no keyboard because the terminal is small. Therefore, the concept of voice domain is essential.

Element technology for constructing voice domain information service in telephone network requires VXML, IVR (Interactive Voice Responce), voice recognition, voice synthesis technology. To generalize the concept of voice domain, it is necessary to settle VXML server and editor technology.

It is a server structure between element technologies for VXML based telephone network voice domain. Voice sound coming from various terminals in the telephone network is transmitted to the voice domain server through the ARS / VXML server. The voice domain server is connected to each corresponding web server or specialized voice domain server, and a voice recognition server and a voice synthesis server are connected to support such an interface.

This is a diagram of accessing a voice domain site through a telephone network and constructing a voice domain site using the VXML GUI editor.

First, VXML, IVR (Interactive Voice Responce), Voice Recognition, and Voice Synthesis technologies are the basic components. The core technology of the present invention, the VXML server, makes it possible to operate the functions of the mouse and the monitor on the web by voice recognition and synthesis on the telephone network. VXML Editor is a concept of a scenario generator that makes the GUI editor's ability to edit HTML documents on the Web universal for telephony services. The present invention has developed VXML element technologies that are compatible with existing speech recognition and speech synthesis techniques, and connected them with the concept of speech domain.

It can activate information retrieval and content business on the telephone network. The concept of voice domain can be made essential and the value can be maximized.

Claims (2)

Voice domain is used on the telephone network based on VXML, through which information retrieval and information provision are provided. The VXML GUI editor is used to construct the voice domain site over the telephone network and to operate the voice domain server.
