Abstract

PURPOSE: A program guide method of a television receiver is provided to select a channel of a high frequency which a user saw and listened by arranging the channel of a high frequency at an upper side of a monitor of the television receiver. CONSTITUTION: A seeing and listening possible channel list is displayed in response to a program guide command(S302). When one channel in the seeing and listening possible channel list is selected, a seeing and listening possible program list is displayed in the selected channel(S304). A channel selection frequency of a user is checked. A channel having a highest selecting frequency is arranged at an upper end of a monitor of a television receiver in order to easily search a channel which a user' preference is high. A channel which the user selected and a list of programs which the user saw and listened in a corresponding channel are displayed. When a program which the user wants to see and listen is selected, the selected program is reproduced(S306).
