Abstract

PURPOSE: A digital broadcasting receiver enabling data transmission to an external storage medium is provided to utilize more effectively the external medium and enhance the utilization of a lot of data received through a digital broadcasting receiver by being connected to the external storage medium to transmit data. CONSTITUTION: The digital broadcasting receiver comprises an IEEE1394 interface(14), a digital broadcasting receiver(10) and a PC(20). The digital broadcasting receiver(10) receives and transmits input data through the IEEE1394 interface. The PC(20) is connected to the digital broadcasting receiver(10) through the IEEE1394 interface, and receives/stores the data transmitted from the digital broadcasting receiver(10). The digital broadcasting receiver(10) comprises a controller(11), an MPEG signal processor(12), a database(13), the IEEE1394 interface(14), a key input(15) and a monitor(16). The controller(11) sets a data transmission mode, stores data selected by a user to the database and transmits to the PC(20).
