Abstract

PURPOSE: A disinfectant is provided to remove odor and bacteria for drinking water. The disinfectant is comprising the components: granular activated carbon to adsorb heavy metal and organic material, also to remove odor; granules of calcined oyster shell to elute calcium and mineral for health; and A-type zeolite resin granules for silver ion exchange to remove bacteria by using silver ion. CONSTITUTION: The disinfectant is made by the following steps: the A-type zeolite for silver exchange is coated at the surface of synthetic resins, and the A-type zeolite resin is produced as granule; 40-60 wt.% of the granular activated carbon, 0.5-3.0 wt.% of the calcined granules of oyster shell, and 40-60 wt.% of the A-type zeolite resin granules for silver ion exchange are mixed; the mixture is packed in a case.
