종래의 기술은 핸드폰 사용자가 복잡한 조작에 의해서 핸드폰을 진동모드로 변환하는 방법과 간단한 원-터치 스위치를 이용하는 방법이 있다. 하지만 이러한 방법모두 핸드폰 사용자의 양심에만 의존할 수 밖에 없다. 수술이거나 수업 중 또는 재판중에 모든 것을 핸드폰 사용자의 양심에만 맞길 수 있을 정도로 우리 사회는 양심적이지는 못한 것이 현실이고 보면 최소한의 공공장소(예를 들면, 학교, 지하철, 강의실, 병원, 법정) 등에서는 강제적으로 벨소리가 나지 않도록 하는 장치의 도입은 필요한 것이다.Conventional technologies include a method for a mobile phone user to convert a mobile phone into a vibration mode by a complicated operation and a simple one-touch switch.
