Abstract

PURPOSE: A water level sensor of a washing machine is provided to enable a pressure sensor to act by directly receiving the water pressure of washing water, to simplify a structure by eliminating an air chamber and to avoid a damage to the pressure sensor. CONSTITUTION: Washing water is supplied in a washing tub(20). While the washing water is supplied on the floor of the washing tub, a water pressure is increased. The water pressure gradually pressurizes a central horizontal face(22a) of a flexible member(22). The horizontal face pressurizes a pressure sensor(24) while generating a lower part sagging force due to a rubber characteristic. Herein, the pressure sensor acts according to the water pressure and inputs a signal to a microcomputer. The microcomputer controls the washing water amount by sending a signal to a water supplier based on the data.
