Abstract

PURPOSE: A method for forming a network incorporating channel list is provided to select a desired network on an electronic program graphic screen. CONSTITUTION: A method for forming A network incorporating channel list includes following steps. At the first step(220), a channel list for all channels is configured. At the second step(230), information on the network currently selected as well as on another network is displayed. At the third step(240), whether the user selects a network movement is determined, and the channel list is searched when the user doesn't select the network movement. And the procedure is moved to a selected network when the user selected the network movement. At the forth step(260), program information attained by parsing PSI/SI(program specific information/Service information) the moved network is added to the channel list. The second step displays a receivable network as well as the information on whether the service is to be selected, also.

본 발명은 디지털방송수신기의 채널리스트구성방법에 관한 것으로, 특히 다중 네트워크 수신이 가능한 디지털 지상파 방송 시스템(Digital Terrestria1 Television;이하, "DTTV"라 함)의 채널리스트구성방법에 관한 것이다.디지털방송(DVB;digital video broadcasting)은 유럽 각국이 공동으로 개발하고 있는 디지털방송규격을 말하며, 디지털 텔레비젼은 디지털로 전송하는 TV 방송신호를 수신한다. 디지털방송(DVB)은 부가적 데이터의 전송에 의한 다양한 서비스를 제공한다. 디지털방송에서는 프로그램사양정보(PSI; Program Specific Information)에 여러 서비스정보(SI; Service Information)를 부가하여 전자프로그램가이드(Electric Program guide; EPG)의 목적에 이용할 수 있게 하고 있다. 디지털 다채널 방송에서 데이터서비스의 하나로서 프로그램표나 각 프로그램의 내용에 관한 정보등을 제공하는 EPG가 기본적인 서비스의 하나로 상정되고 있다. 일반적으로 데이터로 전송되는 채널번호, 채널명, 프로그램명, 스케줄 등을 디지털방송수신기 세트의 EPG소프트웨어에 의해 시간축과 채널축을 갖는 프로그램표로서 TV화면상에 표시한다. 위성을 이용한 디지털방송(DVB-S)시스템은 통합된 PSI/SI를이용하여 채널리스트를 구성하고, EPG를 통해 보여주는데, 현재 네트워크에 포함된하나의 트랜스폰더를 이용하여 PSI/SI를 파싱(parsing)함으로써 구현이 가능하다.도 1은 종래의 채널리스트구성방법을 설명하기 위한 화면상태도이다. 종래에는 특정한 네트워크 내에서 일괄적으로 통합된 PSI/SI를 이용한 채널리스트를 구성하여 전자프로그램가이드(EPG)를 통해 보여준다. DVB-S의 경우, PSI/SI를 조합하여 방송국이름과 프로그램번호를 포함한 채널리스트를 구성한다. 이 채널리스트는 현재 네트워크 내의 서비스종류테이블(Service Description Table; SDT)을 분석하여 프로그램별 방송국 이름을 일대일 매핑하여 보여줌으로써 사용자의 채널선택에 따른 오디오/비디오데이타의 재생과 연속된 채널 선택을 가능하게 한다.The present invention relates to a method of constructing a channel list of a digital broadcast receiver, and more particularly to a method of constructing a channel list of a digital terrestrial broadcasting system (hereinafter referred to as "DTTV") capable of receiving multiple networks.
