Abstract

본 발명은 단말기와 컴퓨터간의 통신을 복잡한 레벨 변환기를 이용하지 않고 간단한 소자로 구현된 회로를 RS232C 케이블내에 내장하여 단말기의 카키트 콘넥터와 통신이 가능하도록 한 것이다.
본 발명은 단말기의 송수신 데이터 라인을 트랜스레이터에 연결하고, 상기 트랜스레이터의 송수신 데이터라인을 RS232C 케이블을 통하여 컴퓨터에 연결하여 데이터를 변환시켜 줄 수 있도록 구성한 것이다.

Description

단말기 검사장치
본 발명은 단말기 검사장치에 관한 것으로, 특히 단말기와 컴퓨터간의 통신을 복잡한 레벨 변환기를 이용하지 않고 간단한 소자로 구현된 회로를 RS232C 케이블내에 내장하여 단말기의 카키트 콘넥터(Carkit Connector)와 통신이 가능하도록 한 것이다.
종래에는 양산중인 단말기의 이상여부를 검사하기 위하여 소프트웨어를 전송할 때(다운 로드시) 복잡한 레벨 변환기를 이용하였다.
즉, 종래에는 도 1에 도시된 바와같이, 검사하고자 하는 단말기(1)와, 오디오부(2)와, 디지털 데이터부(3)와, 컴퓨터(4)로 구성되어 셀룰러 폰 또는 PCS폰 등의 단말기가 초기에 생산되면 폰 내부의 램에 소프트웨어 또는 각종 데이터를 기록하며 또한 여러 가지의 조정 과정을 거치게 된다.
그러나 이와같은 종래 셀룰라 폰 등의 단말기에 있어서는, 아날로그와 디지털의 2가지 방식을 사용하므로 단말기를 검사하기 위해서는 레벨 변환기에 코덱(Codec)을 포함하는 복잡한 회로가 필요하였으며, 이에따라 원가가 상승하는 결점이 있었다.
본 발명은 이와같은 종래의 문제점을 해결하기 위하여 안출한 것으로, 본 발명의 목적은, 단말기와 컴퓨터사이에 단말기를 간단히 검사할 수 있는 트랜스레이터를 구비하여 구조를 단순화시키면서 원가를 절감할 수 있도록 하는 단말기 검사장치를 제공하는데 있다.

이와같은 목적을 달성하기 위한 본 발명은 양산중인 단말기에 소프트웨어를 입력시키거나 단말기와 컴퓨터가 통신을 할 수 있도록 하는 시스템에 있어서, 상기 단말기의 송수신 데이터 라인을 트랜스레이터에 연결하고, 상기 트랜스레이터의 송수신 데이터라인을 RS232C 케이블을 통하여 컴퓨터에 연결하여 데이터를 변환시켜 줄 수 있도록 구성함을 특징으로 한다.
이하, 본 발명의 실시예를 첨부된 도면을 참고로 하여 상세히 설명하면 다음과 같다.
도 2는 본 발명의 블록도로, 단말기(1)의 DP_RX_DATA와 DP_TX_DATA를 트랜스레이터(5)에 연결하고, 컴퓨터(4)의 소정단자에 상기 트랜스레이터(5)의 R1IN,R2IN,T2OUT단자를 연결하여 구성된 것이다.
단, 상기 트랜스레이터(5)는 3V로 동작하도록 구성되어 있다.
이와같이 구성된 본 발명의 작용을 설명하면 다음과 같다.
통상, 셀룰라 폰은 아날로그와 디지털의 2가지 방식을 사용하기 때문에 레벨 변환기에 코덱을 포함한 복잡한 회로가 필요하였으나 현재 사용중인 단말기는 디지털 전용이다.
따라서, 복잡한 레벨 변환기를 사용하지 않고도 IC와 칩 및 저항 그리고 몇 개의 콘덴서를 사용하여 동일한 성능을 낼 수 있도록 하는 것이 바람직하다.
즉, 단말기(1)와 컴퓨터(4)간의 통신을 복잡한 레벨 변환기를 이용하지 않고 간단한 소자로 구현된 회로를 제공하고 이를 RS232C 케이블내에 내장하여 단말기(1)의 카키트 콘넥터와 통신을 가능하게 하므로 셀룰라 및 PCS용 단말기 전 분야에 응용할 수 있다.
다시말해서, 단말기(1)와 컴퓨터(4)가 통신을 한다거나 프로그램을 입력시키고자 할 때 또는 단말기(1)의 정보를 컴퓨터(4)에서 읽어들여 처리하고자 할 때 복잡한 시스템을 사용하지 않고 단말기(1)의 MSM칩내의 DP_RX_DATA와 DP_TX_DATA를 카키트를 통하여 서로의 요구에 맞도록 데이터를 변환시켜 주도록 한다.
이때, 상기 단말기(1) 전원의 동작범위는 1셀일 경우 3.1V에서 4V정도이며, 컴퓨터의 RS232C포트는 5V로 동작을 하므로 5V를 3V로, 3V를 5V 로 바꿔주는 지그가 필요하다.
이상에서 설명한 바와같은 본 발명은 종래와 같이 많은 부품과 기구물을 사용해야 하는 레벨 변환기를 사용하지 않고 간단한 회로를 구현하여 이를 RS232C 케이블에 내장하므로 구조가 간단해짐과 함께 원가를 절감할 수 있는 효과가 있다.

  1. 양산중인 단말기에 소프트웨어를 입력시키거나 단말기와 컴퓨터가 통신을 할 수 있도록 하는 시스템에 있어서,
    상기 단말기의 송수신 데이터 라인을 트랜스레이터에 연결하고, 상기 트랜스레이터의 송수신 데이터라인을 RS232C 케이블을 통하여 컴퓨터에 연결하여 데이터를 변환시켜 줄 수 있도록 구성한 것을 특징으로 하는 단말기 검사장치.
