영상신호를 디스플레이하는 패널과 상기 패널을 구동하는 패널 구동부를 가지는 피디피 티브이에 있어서, 상기 패널 전면에 설치되어 휘도를 측정하여 그 값을 인터페이스부로 송출하는 휘도측정기와; 상기 휘도측정기로부터 입력된 휘도값을 아이스퀘어씨 데이터로 변환하여 마이크로컴퓨터에 인가하는 인터페이스부와; 상기 인터페이스부로부터 인가된 휘도측정데이타를 감마보정부로 출력하하는 마이크로컴퓨터와; 상기 마이크로컴퓨터로부터 출력된 감마특성데이터와 기 표준화되어 저장된 감마특성변환함수와의 비교를 통해 보정함수를 필드메모리에 송출하여 필드메모리 데이터를 어드레스 하는 감마보정부와; 상기 감마보정부의 제어에 따라 데이터를 송출하는 필드메모리로 구성한 것을 특징으로하는 피디피 티브이의 자동감마 보정장치.A PD having a panel for displaying an image signal and a panel driver for driving the panel, comprising: a luminance measuring device installed on the front surface of the panel to measure luminance and to transmit a value to an interface unit; An interface unit for converting a luminance value input from the luminance meter into ice square data and applying the same to a microcomputer; A microcomputer outputting the luminance measurement data applied from the interface unit to a gamma correction unit; A gamma correction unit for sending a correction function to the field memory by comparing the gamma characteristic data output from the microcomputer with a pre-standardized and stored gamma characteristic conversion function to address the field memory data; PD gamma automatic gamma correction device comprising a field memory for transmitting data under the control of the gamma correction unit.
