Description
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION 1. Field of the Invention The present invention relates to a receiving apparatus for recovering a signal, which is distorted by a wireless environment, through a plurality of paths, in a spread spectrum communication system.
In general, a spread spectrum communication system transmits / receives signals spread in a wider band than a required band, and the spreading stage spreads the band by mixing a data signal to be transmitted with a PN (Pseudo Noise) code. Then, it modulates the signal and transmits it to the receiving end. The receiving end demodulates the modulated signal and despreads it again to restore the original signal.
On the other hand, when the spread spectrum communication system is applied to a wireless environment, fading occurs and the reception efficiency of the system is reduced. As a way of overcoming this, the transmission signal is received through multiple paths. A method of summing up and restoring is proposed.
FIG. 1 is a diagram showing a prior art receiving apparatus for receiving a transmission signal in a multi-path in a spread spectrum communication system and summing up and restoring it. Therefore, the combiner 31 combines the data in symbol units provided by the integrators 21, 22, and 23, and restores the original signal.
As shown in FIG. 1, the receiver of such a spread spectrum communication system has a complicated problem in that the integrator is composed of a number corresponding to each finger.

Hereinafter, with reference to the accompanying drawings will be described in detail the present invention.
1, each integrator 21, 22, 23 converts data in a chip unit into data in a symbol unit, and a combination unit 31 performs integrators 21, 22, and 23. The integrators 21, 22 and 23 and the combination unit 31 are independent of each other and have a linear relationship.
The present invention has been made in view of the above, and there is no problem in restoring the transmission signal even when the output of each finger 11, 12, 13 is combined first, and the combined result is converted into symbol data. The main idea is to simplify the circuit configuration.
2 shows a receiving apparatus of a spread spectrum communication system according to a preferred embodiment of the present invention.
In FIG. 2, the receiving apparatus of the spread spectrum communication system according to the preferred embodiment of the present invention includes three fingers 100, 110 and 120, a combination unit 130 connected to an output terminal of the fingers 100, 110 and 120, and a combination unit 130. It consists of an integrator 140 connected to the output terminal of.
Operation of the receiver of the spread spectrum communication system configured as described above is as follows.
First, each finger (100, 110, 120) receives a signal transmitted from the transmission side of the spread spectrum communication system, respectively, demodulates according to a predetermined demodulation method, despread and then combines the data in units of chips 130 To provide.
The combination unit 130 combines the data of each chip unit provided from the fingers 100, 110, and 120, and converts the data into one chip unit to the integrator 140. In this case, the combining unit 130 combines the data of the unit of the chip output from each finger (100, 110, 120) by giving a predetermined weight in consideration of the signal strength.
The integrator 140 converts the chip unit data output from the combiner 130 into symbol unit data, thereby restoring the original signal.
Comparing the receiver of the spread spectrum communication system operating as described above with the prior art, it can be seen that the demand of the integrator is reduced instead of the positions of the integrator and the combination unit are reversed. However, as described above, since the integrator and the combination are independent of each other and have a linear relationship, the output result is the same.
As described above, the present invention has an effect of simplifying the circuit configuration by reconstructing the connection relationship between the integrator and the combination part by using the integrator and the combination part independently of each other and having a linear relationship.
