Description
The present invention relates to a gas supply pipe used in a wafer assembling process, and more particularly to a gas supply pipe for preventing the leakage of gas.
The wafer assembly process can be broadly classified into an oxidation process, a diffusion process, an ion implantation process, a chemical vapor deposition process, a photolithography process, a metal process, and a test process. Most of the processes for forming integrated circuits work in a vacuum to ensure reliability. Therefore, the apparatus used for a wafer assembly process is equipped with the vacuum apparatus for applying a vacuum or discharging a gas. The gas supply pipe is used for the connection between the vacuum apparatus and the wafer process chamber where the operation is performed. In the current wafer assembly equipment, all materials of the gas transfer pipe that inject gas into the wafer processing chamber are made of stainless steel.
1 is a cutaway perspective view showing a gas transmission tube used in a conventional wafer assembly equipment.
Referring to FIG. 1, the gas transmission pipe 30 has one side connected to a wafer processing chamber and the other side connected to a bellows gas pipe 34, and the material of the gas supply pipe 30 is made of stainless steel. It has the form of a cable. One side of the gas transmission pipe 30 is coupled to the fixing nut 33 for tightly tightening to prevent the leakage of gas when connected to the other part.
However, when a gas transmission tube having such a structure is located near or in contact with a radio frequency (RF) cable, arc discharge may occur between the gas transmission tube and the cable due to electricity flowing through the cable, and thus a hole may be formed in the gas transmission tube. have. Thus, the hole in the gas transmission pipe leads to the leakage of gas. Since applying high vacuum in the wafer assembly process is one of the most basic conditions for creating a working environment, these gas leaks can affect the normal progress of the process. If the work is done under normal conditions, the process will be inferior and manufacture the defective product. This not only leads to an increase in costs, but also reduces labor, time lost, and facility utilization rate of workers consumed in replacement due to component loss.
Accordingly, an object of the present invention is to provide a gas transmission tube which prevents the gas transmission tube from leaking by preventing damage to the gas transmission tube used in the wafer assembly process.

Gas transmission tube according to the present invention for achieving the above object is a gas transmission tube used in the wafer assembly process, the gas transmission tube is characterized in that the insulating layer is formed on the outer peripheral surface. Preferably, the gas transfer tube is mechanically coupled to the wafer processing chamber to apply a vacuum.
Hereinafter, a gas transmission tube according to the present invention will be described in detail with reference to the accompanying drawings.
2 is a cutaway perspective view of a gas transmission tube according to the present invention.
Referring to FIG. 2, the gas transmission pipe 10 according to the present invention is composed of two layers of an inner layer 11 and an insulating layer 12 of stainless steel, and gas is supplied through a space 15 formed therein. Or discharged. The insulating layer 12 formed by coating with an insulating material on the outer circumferential surface of the inner layer 11 electrically shields the inner layer 11 from the outside. One side of the gas transmission pipe 10 is coupled to the above-mentioned fixing nut 13, the other side of the bellows gas pipe 14 is coupled.
Not only is the gas transmission tube used to apply the vacuum state, which is a working environment for the progress of the wafer assembly process, is close to the neighboring RF cable but also the arc discharge is hardly generated even if it comes into contact. If the gas transmission tube mechanically coupled to the wafer processing chamber has the same structure as the present invention, the effect can be obtained.
Therefore, according to the structure according to the present invention, by using the gas transmission tube insulated coated on the gas supply pipe to eliminate the occurrence of arc discharge even in contact with the RF cable to extend the life of the device to reduce the cost, process failure due to gas leakage There is an advantage that can prevent (利 點).
