Abstract
본 발명은 프로그램 업그레이드(Upgrade) 방법에 관한 것으로서, 특히 정보 통신 장치에 있어서 온 라인(On Line)에 의한 자동 프로그램 업그레이드 방법에 관한 것이다. 본 발명의 목적을 위하여 프로그램을 자동으로 엎그레이드하는 방법에 있어서, 수신측이 서버측에 연결을 시도하여 상호적으로 프로토콜이 일치하면 수행중인 프로그램 버전 코드를 전송하는 과정, 상기 과정에서 서버측이 수신된 프로그램 버전 코드와 엎그레이드할 버전 코드를 비교하여 정보 엎그레이드 여부에 대한 코드를 전송하는 과정, 상기 과정에서 수신측이 엎그레이드 요구를 받으면 프로그램의 엎그레이드 여부를 표시하는 과정, 상기 과정에서 수신측이 엎그레이드를 원하면 서버측에 엎그레이드 코드를 전송하여 서버측으로부터 엎그레이드 정보를 수신하여 저장하는 과정을 포함한다. 본 발명에 의하면, 수신측은 서버로부터 현재 프로그램이 업그레이드되었을 경우 사용자의 업그레드 희망 여부를 체크하여 데이터를 수신할 수 있는 이점이 있다.BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION 1. 본 발명은 프로그램 업그레이드(Upgrade) 방법에 관한 것으로서, 특히 정보 통신 장치에 있어서 온 라인(On Line)에 의한 자동 프로그램 업그레이드 방법에 관한 것이다. 일반적으로 인터네트 텔레비젼(Internet Television)은 웹브라우져(Web Brouser)를 사용한 대화형 텔레비젼으로서 각종 정보의 검출은 물론 모뎀을 이용한 전화의 송수신, 멀티미디어의 기능까지도 가능한 멀티미디어(Multimedia) 제품이다. 이 인터네트 텔레비젼은 서버로부터 새로운 프로그램이나 데이터를 갱신하기 위하여 정보나 데이터를 다운로드 받는다. 그러나 인터네트 텔레비젼의 정보 수신측(사용자)은 서버(Server)로부터 현재 프로그램이 업그레이드되었을 경우 이에 대한 확인도 수행하지 않은 채 다운로드 받기 때문에 원하지 않은 데이터를 수신할 수 있는 문제점이 있었다.BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION 1.
