It is well known that ultraviolet rays act as a major cause of erythema, edema, freckles, and skin cancer on the skin. Recently, in addition to the desire to protect the skin from daily UV rays, the demand for and interest in UV protection products is increasing as the number of people engaging in various leisure activities, including golf and camping, increases. Numerous researches are being conducted to satisfy these demands.
Generally, ultraviolet rays are divided into three regions depending on their wavelength: ultraviolet C (UV-C) with a wavelength of 200-280 nm, ultraviolet B (UV-B) with a wavelength of 280-320 nm, and ultraviolet B (UV-B) with a wavelength of 200-280 nm. The wavelength is classified as ultraviolet A (UV-A). Among them, UV-C is lost without reaching the earth's surface as it passes through the ozone layer, while UV-B penetrates into the epidermis of the skin and causes erythema, freckles, and swelling. UV-A is known to penetrate into the dermis of the skin and cause skin aging and skin irritation, including promoting skin cancer, wrinkles, and melanin formation.
Meanwhile, mid-wave ultraviolet rays (UV-B), which are mostly absorbed by the epidermis of the skin, are sometimes called harmful ultraviolet rays because they act rapidly on the epidermis and cause burns. Long-wavelength ultraviolet rays (UV-A) reach the skin all year round, but because there are no noticeable symptoms, skin aging progresses without one's knowledge.
As the skin risks caused by exposure to sunlight became known, public interest in sunscreen products increased, and accordingly, various sun protection factors (SPF) and UVA protection grades (Protection grade of UVA, PA) were introduced. Products are being released, and in particular, the PA+++ standard has recently been added due to increased interest in UV-A blocking.
Sunscreens used in cosmetics include inorganic sunscreens such as titanium dioxide and zinc oxide, or ethylhexylmethoxycinnamate, ethylhexylsalicylate, octocrylene, butylmethoxydibenzoylmethane, and bis-ethylhexyloxyphenolmethoxyphenyl. It is classified as an organic sunscreen such as triazine, diethylaminohydroxybenzoylhexylbenzoate, etc. In the case of inorganic sunscreens, among cosmetic powders, they do not have a good texture and have a high refractive index, so as the content increases for a high sunscreen index, the feeling of use becomes stiff or rough, and the problem of white clouding occurs. In the case of liquid organic sunscreens, they cause stickiness or shine, and powdered organic sunscreens are used by dissolving them in the oil contained in the formulation, but most of them do not have high solubility, so it is difficult to apply more than 5% and must be used with caution against precipitation.
The formulation of sunscreen products has clear characteristics for each formulation, and even if they show the same level of sunscreening effect, due to the characteristics of the formulation, their composition is completely different in order to provide sunblocking power while maintaining the basic feel and cosmetic effect as a cosmetic. That's why you need to be careful. For example, emulsified sunscreen formulations that require oil-based and water-based ingredients have few restrictions on the selection of sunscreen ingredients; for example, you can select any of inorganic sunscreens such as titanium dioxide or zinc oxide, or oil-soluble or water-soluble sunscreen ingredients. However, the oil in water (O/W) formulation has the advantage of being less durable and providing a relatively better feeling of use compared to the water in oil (W/O) formulation. Water-in-oil formulations exhibit the opposite characteristics. For solid types such as oil-wax sticks that are easy to apply, due to the nature of the formulation, components that form sticks by forming hardness at room temperature in wax or polymer are essential. Most of these are oil dispersions, and among the above-mentioned inorganic and organic ultraviolet ray blocking components, there are no particular factors limiting their application other than water-soluble ultraviolet ray blocking components. Likewise, the oil-wax formulation, which is similar in composition to the stick form and is filled in a wide dish container with a similar appearance to the powder pact, has no particular restrictions on application other than water-soluble UV-blocking ingredients.
The composition of the above formulations is in the form of a liquid ~ paste at room temperature, or at least a formulation that flows in liquid form when filled at high temperature. However, the content of the liquid phase in the powder formulation is significantly less than the above formulation, and most of it is composed of powder. . The powder formulation, which does not flow during and after manufacturing, is applied to the skin in powder form, so it has the least stickiness, can be reapplied even after makeup, and has the advantage of being easy to carry. However, the powder formulation is a formulation that represents a representative discontinuous makeup film among cosmetic formulations, and because the powder content is significantly high and is greatly influenced by the properties of the sunscreen, there are relatively many limiting factors in the type and content of its components. It is not easy to achieve a high UV protection effect.
More specifically, as the content of the binder portion containing oil and liquid organic sunscreen increases, the powders become more agglomerated, increasing the possibility of caking or grazing, and puffs and puffs are used to apply the contents. Because the amount transferred to the same makeup tool is significantly reduced, the purpose of makeup, which requires a certain amount to be uniformly applied to the skin, cannot be achieved. Therefore, for high UV protection effect (SPF50+/PA+++ or higher), the amount of liquid organic sunscreen that can be contained is limited. Therefore, to achieve high UV protection effect, the content of inorganic sunscreen that can be used in powder form is limited. There is no choice but to increase it. As the content of inorganic sunscreen increases, it becomes more difficult to disperse the ingredients within the powder formulation, the efficiency of increasing the sunscreen index due to the increase in content decreases, and the feeling of use becomes rough. In summary, it is quite a difficult task to implement a powdered product for UV protection that has an excellent UV protection index of SPF50+/PA+++ or higher and has an excellent feeling of use. As of now, powder-type products that implement the more difficult SPF50+/PA++++ are extremely rare, not only domestically but also overseas, and the powder-type products of SPF50+/PA++++ that are being sold have a very rough feel and show a severe white clouding phenomenon. As mentioned above, this is understood to be an inevitable phenomenon because the content of inorganic sunscreens such as titanium dioxide and zinc oxide is high.
In addition to the above methods, researchers are attempting various studies to overcome the disadvantages of securing UVA sun protection index in powder formulations. A method of increasing the UVA blocking effect by dissolving a UVA blocking agent with oil in the binder part that essentially contains oil in powder cosmetics has been proposed (Japanese Patent Publication No. 5839450), but in most powder formulations, which are about 90% powder, Because the amount of sunscreen that can be contained within the limited binder content is small, it is not enough to secure PA++++ with a PA index of 16 or higher. In addition, among the UVA blockers presented, it is well known that butylmethoxydibenzoylmethane reacts with metal ions to precipitate or discolor. In addition, in order to improve the ultraviolet ray blocking effect, studies have been presented in which materials such as butylmethoxydibenzoylmethane or methylenebis-benzotriazolyltetramethylbutylphenol were coated on the surface of plate-shaped powder or titanium dioxide powder (Japanese Patent Publication) No. 2012-121810). However, in the above case, it also acts as a limiting factor in prescription due to the problem of content, and has a melting point of 81-84°C, and due to the unique stickiness of butylmethoxydibenzoylmethane, which has a feeling of use similar to wax, it is prone to coagulation during the manufacturing or molding process. This causes the problem of not providing sufficient UV protection. In addition, there is a high possibility of caking or grazing occurring within the molded formulation, and the feeling of use is poor. Bis-ethylhexyloxyphenolmethoxyphenyltriazine, which has a melting point of 83-85℃, also exhibits stickier surface properties than other inorganic powders such as butylmethoxydibenzoylmethane when coated on powder or used in powder form. Therefore, due to poor dispersibility, it agglomerates during the manufacturing process or forming process, resulting in a decrease in UV blocking effect and a decrease in feeling of use.
On the other hand, it is difficult to maintain the stability or basic quality of the powder formulation by directly applying the composition and mixing of sunscreen ingredients in an emulsified foundation or cream-type sunscreen formulation that implements an excellent sunscreen index to powdered sunscreen cosmetics. It is not desirable because More specifically, in foundation or cream formulations, which are basically liquid or flowable formulations, the water-soluble organic sunscreen contained therein cannot be uniformly mixed because purified water or water, which acts as a solvent, is not sufficiently contained in powder formulations. impossible. In addition, in the case of oil-soluble or liquid organic sunscreens, it is undesirable because the content exceeds the range that can maintain the stability of the formulation, which consists of a significant portion of powder. In addition, inorganic sunscreens such as titanium dioxide or zinc oxide are mostly included in the formulation in a state of being pre-dispersed in volatile or light-touch oil due to problems with dispersion efficiency and feeling of use. It is difficult to implement the inorganic sunscreen as a powder because the particles agglomerate.
Due to the above-mentioned problems, in powdered sunscreen cosmetic products, there continues to be a demand for compositions that exhibit excellent sunscreen effects while maintaining or excellent pleasant quality such as feel of use, cosmetic effect, and durability as cosmetics. This is the situation.
Therefore, the problem to be solved by the present invention is to contain organic sunscreen without increasing the content of inorganic sunscreen such as titanium dioxide and zinc oxide without agglomeration without phenomenon such as caking or grazing. Accordingly, the aim is to provide a powdery UV-blocking cosmetic composition that exhibits an excellent feeling of use and an excellent UV-blocking effect.
In addition, the aim is to provide a powdery UV-blocking cosmetic composition that does not cause clumping even when applying make-up, suppresses white clouding, and has an improved sticky feel.
In order to solve the above problem, two or more inorganic sunscreens selected from the group consisting of titanium dioxide, zinc oxide, and cerium oxide, and bis-ethylhexyloxyphenolmethoxyphenyltriazine and methylenebis-benzotriazolyltetra. Provided is a powdery cosmetic composition for sunscreen containing an organic sunscreen selected from the group consisting of methylbutylphenol, diethylaminohydroxybenzoylhexylbenzoate, and butylmethoxydibenzoylmethane. In a preferred embodiment, the powdery cosmetic composition for sunscreen may include a powder portion containing the inorganic sunscreen and the organic sunscreen, and a binder portion including the organic sunscreen.
The powdery cosmetic composition for sunscreen according to the present invention may be in a compact or powder formulation. This formulation may include 60-97% by weight of the powder portion and 3-40% by weight of the binder portion based on the total weight of the entire composition.
More specifically, the cosmetic composition can be used as a marshmallow-type compact formulation with a soft and fluffy texture, which includes 60-75% by weight of the powder portion and 25-40% by weight of the binder portion based on the total weight of the entire composition. can do.
In addition, the cosmetic composition may be used as a molded powder formulation, which may include 70-95% by weight of the powder portion and 5-30% by weight of the binder portion based on the total weight of the entire composition, more preferably 84- It may include 94% by weight of powder portion and 6-16% by weight of binder portion. These powder formulations include purified water, volatile alcohols such as ethanol or isopropyl alcohol, or volatile oily oils such as isododecanol or cyclomethicone, these three types, or emulsions or liquids that act similarly to these three types, The powder parts are dispersed in a liquid phase individually or in a mixture of one or more types to form a slurry, and then molded/filled by injecting a molding/filling material such as a plate and suctioning the solvent, and drying the remaining volatile components. It can be completed. Alternatively, the powder formulation can be completed by kneading a dispersion containing powder and oil, or an emulsion and powder portion, then molding/filling the dispersion, then drying it.
Alternatively, the cosmetic composition may be an unmolded powder formulation, which may contain 90 to 97% by weight of the powder portion and 3 to 10% by weight of the binder portion based on the total weight of the entire composition.
In the present invention, 'powder' generally refers to an aggregate of solid materials having a particle size of 1 mm or less, and powders usable in the present invention include inorganic sunscreens commonly used in the cosmetics field, powdery organic sunscreens, Includes extender pigments, coloring pigments, etc.
In the present invention, the powder portion includes two or more types of inorganic sunscreen and organic sunscreen. The two or more types of inorganic sunscreens are preferably selected from titanium dioxide, zinc oxide, and cerium oxide, and more preferably include titanium dioxide and zinc oxide, but are not limited thereto and are approved for use by the Food and Drug Administration. Any substance can be used as an inorganic sunscreen of the present invention. More preferably, the titanium dioxide may have an average particle diameter of 60-120 nm, and the zinc oxide may have an average particle diameter of 1-40 nm. The two or more types of inorganic sunscreen may be included in an amount of 1-50% by weight based on the total weight of the powder portion. More preferably, it may include 1-24% by weight of titanium dioxide and 0.1-24% by weight of zinc oxide based on the total weight of the powder portion. Even more preferably, it may include 5-20% by weight of titanium dioxide and 1-10% by weight of zinc oxide based on the total weight of the powder portion.
The average particle diameter of the titanium dioxide is 60-120 nm, preferably 80-110 nm. When the average particle size of the titanium dioxide is less than 60 nm, the blocking power in the UVA region is weak, so to increase the UV blocking effect of the powdery UV blocking cosmetic composition, other sunscreen agents must be contained. In this case, uniform dispersion of the sunscreen agent is required. It gets difficult. If the average particle diameter is greater than 120 nm, it is not preferable because the ultraviolet ray blocking effect is significantly reduced.
The average particle diameter of the zinc oxide is preferably 40 nm or less, and zinc oxide having an average particle diameter of 1-40 nm, 10-40 nm, or 20-30 nm can be used. If the average particle diameter of zinc oxide increases beyond 40 nm, the UV blocking effect is rapidly reduced, and if the content is increased to increase the UV blocking effect, problems such as reduced dispersion power and rough feeling of use are undesirable.
In the specification of the present invention, 'average particle diameter' is used to mean the primary average size of particles, and can be measured using, for example, an electron microscope.
In the present invention, the organic sunscreen contained in the powder portion is bis-ethylhexyloxyphenolmethoxyphenyltriazine, methylenebis-benzotriazolyltetramethylbutylphenol, diethylaminohydroxybenzoylhexylbenzoate, and butyl One or more types may be selected from methoxydibenzoylmethane, preferably bis-ethylhexyloxyphenolmethoxyphenyltriazine, but it is not limited thereto, and any substance approved for use by the Food and Drug Administration may be used as an organic ultraviolet ray of the present invention. Can be used as a blocker. In the present invention, the organic sunscreen contained in the powder portion is preferably in powder form. Additionally, the organic sunscreen included in the powder portion may be included in an amount of 0.1-20% by weight, more preferably 0.1-9% by weight, based on the total weight of the powder portion. When an organic sunscreen is included in the above content, it is uniformly mixed without agglomeration and can exhibit an excellent sunscreen effect. In the present invention, the content of the organic sunscreen is based on the weight before treatment with the anti-reagglomeration agent.
More preferably, in the present invention, the organic sunscreen may be used as one treated with an anti-reagglomeration agent. For example, after uniformly mixing the organic sunscreen with silica, the organic sunscreen is pulverized using a screen mill (atomizer), pin mill, or powder dispersion grinding machine, and then split by pulverization to form a newly formed surface. The silica can be attached. Alternatively, so-called mechano is used to attach a powder such as silica, which does not dissolve or soften even when the temperature rises to about 100°C in a high-speed rotating mixer, to the surface of a powdered organic sunscreen that reaches the melting point or softens by friction. Treatment of anti-reagglomeration agents can be performed by fusion (mechano-fusion).
Treatment to prevent re-agglomeration of the organic ultraviolet ray blocker included in the powder portion can be performed using raw materials known in the art that do not soften or dissolve at about 100°C other than silica, and the raw materials are applied to surface treatment methods known in the art. It also includes, but is not particularly limited to. Evaluation of UV protection effect
The sun protection factor (SPF) was measured based on Cosmetics Europe's SPF Test Method (ISO 24444), and PA was measured based on the Japan Cosmetic Industry Association's (JCIA) UVA protection effect measurement method (ISO 24442). Before applying the sample, 1,3-butylene glycol, which does not have UV blocking properties, was first applied to the skin surface to increase the adhesion of the sample. The measurement method was as follows.
Test subjects: A total of 10 healthy men and women aged 18-60
Test area: back
- 표준 시료: SPF 측정시 P2, PA 측정시 S2 사용- Standard sample: P2 used for SPF measurement, S2 used for PA measurement
2mg/cm2 - Sample application: 2mg/cm 2
35 cm2 - Application area: 35 cm 2
- 광원: Multi-port Solar simulator 601-300 W (Solar Light사, 미국)- Light source: Multi-port Solar simulator 601-300 W (Solar Light, USA)
Minimum erythema amount determination time: 16-24 hours after ultraviolet irradiation
- 최소 지속형 흑화량 판정시간: 자외선 A 조사 후 2-24시간- Minimum continuous blackening amount determination time: 2-24 hours after UV A irradiation
- 실험 결과의 계산: 10명의 SPF 값의 평균 및 표준편차, PA 값의 평균 및 표준편차- Calculation of experimental results: average and standard deviation of SPF values of 10 people, average and standard deviation of PA values
UV A protection grades are classified as shown in Table 3 below.
As can be seen in Table 4, the UV blocking effect of the samples prepared in Examples and Comparative Examples achieved a superior effect in the Examples than in the Comparative Examples with similar contents. This indicates that the ultraviolet ray blocking efficiency of the example was increased by relatively uniform dispersion according to the high dispersion process of the fine powder. Since the ingredients used as sunscreens have a rough texture compared to other ingredients, the ultraviolet ray blocking index and The higher the barrier level, the worse the basic physical properties, including the feel of the cosmetic composition itself, tend to deteriorate. In general, it is possible to maintain the feeling of use with a UV protection factor of 40 or less or a normal level of protection of 4 to 8 without much difference from a lower UV protection factor, but for an SPF of 40 or more and a protection grade of PA+++ or higher, a sunscreen is required. Since the content is bound to increase significantly, the feel of use is bound to be impaired. The cosmetic composition for sunscreen of the present invention solves the above problems, and has a high sunblock effect and excellent feeling after use while suppressing the increase in the content of sunscreen.
Sensory evaluation
To measure the feeling of use for the Example and Comparative Example cosmetics prepared above, a blind test was performed on 50 women aged 20 to 50 years. Satisfaction with uniform makeup film, amount of makeup clumping, fine particle feel, adhesion, and makeup sustainability was sensory evaluated according to the following evaluation criteria, and the results were expressed as average values.

1Excellent: 5, Good: 4, Average: 3, Bad: 2, Very Poor: 1
In the sensory evaluation results of the samples prepared in the above Examples and Comparative Examples, Comparative Example 1, which had the lowest UV protection index, showed excellent results in the sensory evaluation, but was not preferable because it had the lowest UV protection effect. Overall, it was confirmed that Examples 1 to 4 were superior to Comparative Examples 1 to 4 in sensory evaluation. This means that locally agglomerated ingredients due to the inclusion of organic UV-blocking ingredients that are not treated with silica, which have characteristics similar to wax, have a negative effect on uniform makeup effect, makeup clumping, feel after use, stickiness, and fine particle feel. It is judged.
Summarizing the UV protection index and sensory evaluation results of the examples and comparative examples, the examples showed a high UV protection index, and the low content of sunscreen is good in terms of sensory evaluation, but is not suitable for a cosmetic composition for sun protection. Did not do it. Therefore, it was important to show a high UV protection index while not impeding the cosmetic effect and/or feeling of use. It was confirmed that containing a powdered organic sunscreen treated with silica in a powdered cosmetic composition showed excellent effects in terms of UV blocking effect and feeling of use.
