Description

수성 절삭유 조성물{AQUEOUS CUTTING FLUID COMPOSITION}Aqueous cutting oil composition {AQUEOUS CUTTING FLUID COMPOSITION}

The present invention relates to an aqueous transparent cutting oil composition.

Cutting oil refers to oil that cools and lubricates the cutting area or cutting tool area when cutting metal materials, etc., thereby extending the life of the tool and increasing cutting efficiency. Cutting oil is largely divided into oil-based and water-based depending on its properties. The oil-based cutting oil, including petroleum oil and mineral oil, has a strong odor and causes headaches and nausea in workers, reducing work efficiency and causing safety accidents, and is known to cause skin diseases, cancer, etc. In addition, a separate cleaning process must be performed to clean these residues after the cutting operation. Solvents contained in detergents used in the cutting oil cleaning process are highly toxic to the human body and are highly flammable, raising the risk of fire.

On the other hand, water-based cutting oil is easy to clean after cutting work and has low toxicity to the human body, so the frequency of use is increasing recently. However, the water-based cutting fluids developed to date not only have low cutting performance, which is a basic feature of cutting fluids, but their color changes to milky white and opaque after emulsifying by mixing the cutting fluid with water, so the operator cannot clearly see the cutting surface during cutting work, which reduces work efficiency. There is a problem with the high rate of safety accidents. In addition, water-based cutting oil has a problem of low storage stability because its biochemical stability rapidly decreases after mixing with water.

In one aspect, the diluted cutting oil composition may exhibit a pH of 8 or more and 9.5 or less. If the pH of the composition is less than 8, corrosion resistance may be reduced and microbial growth may not be controlled, thereby reducing formulation stability. Additionally, if the pH of the composition exceeds 9.5, it may threaten the human safety of workers, such as skin irritation.

[Manufacturing example] Manufacturing of cutting oil

Water, antifoam, NaOH, PPG, palm oil, sorbitol, and oleic acid were mixed in a weight ratio of about 20:0.5:3:5:14:1:6 and heated at about 70°C for about 30 minutes to prepare a cutting oil composition. Manufactured. The prepared cutting oil composition was diluted by mixing with 10 times the weight of water to prepare a cutting oil dilution.

[Experimental Example 1] Transparency test

A transparency test was performed visually on the prepared cutting oil dilution (Example) and Comparative Example. Transparency was assigned a score of 1 to 10. Specifically, the more transparent the score, the higher the score, and the more opaque the score, the lower the score.

In comparative examples, when the mixture was not heated during mixing (Comparative Example 1), when heated to about 40°C (Comparative Example 2), and when heated to about 100°C (Comparative Example 3), the content of the ingredients was calculated as Preparation Example. A case different from (Comparative Example 4 to Comparative Example 11, see Table 1) was used.
