Description
도 1은 예시적인 실시형태에 따른 NTE 시스템의 기능적 블록도이다;
도 2는 예시적인 실시형태에 따른 트래커 디스플레이 유닛 상의 기준 심볼의 제1 도면이다;
도 3은 예시적인 실시형태에 따른 트래커 디스플레이 유닛 상의 기준 심볼의 제2 도면이다;
도 4는 예시적인 실시형태에 따른 트래커 디스플레이 유닛 상의 기준 심볼의 제3 도면이다;

Claims (10)
- 동작 환경 내의 제1 오브젝트(object)의 위치(location) 및 방위(orientation)를 트래킹하기 위한 광학 트래커 시스템으로서,
상기 제1 오브젝트의 예측된 위치 및 방위를 공간 예측으로서 결정하는 예측 모듈을 구현하도록 프로그램된 프로세서;
상기 프로세서에 의해 구현된 디스플레이 모듈 - 상기 디스플레이 모듈은 상기 공간 예측을 수신하도록 커플링되고, 상기 디스플레이 모듈은 상기 공간 예측에 기초하여 기준 심볼(fiducial symbol)에 대한 디스플레이 커맨드들을 생성하도록 구성됨 - ;
상기 동작 환경 내에 배치되고 상기 제1 오브젝트로부터 분리된 트래커 디스플레이 유닛 - 상기 트래커 디스플레이 유닛은 상기 예측 모듈에 커플링되고 상기 디스플레이 커맨드들을 수신하도록 구성되고, 상기 트래커 디스플레이 유닛은 상기 디스플레이 커맨드들에 기초하여 상기 기준 심볼을 디스플레이하도록 구성됨 - ;
상기 제1 오브젝트 상에 장착되고, 상기 트래커 디스플레이 유닛 상에 디스플레이된 상기 기준 심볼의 이미지를 상기 디스플레이된 기준 심볼의 캡처된 외관(captured appearance)으로서 캡처하도록 구성된 카메라 유닛; 및
상기 프로세서에 의해 구현된 포지션 결정 모듈(position determination module) - 상기 포지션 결정 모듈은 상기 카메라 유닛에 커플링되고 상기 카메라 유닛으로부터 상기 기준 심볼의 상기 이미지를 수신하도록 구성되고, 상기 포지션 결정 모듈은 상기 기준 심볼을 식별하고 상기 디스플레이된 기준 심볼의 상기 캡처된 외관에 기초하여 상기 제1 오브젝트의 위치 및 방위를 결정하도록 구성됨 -
을 포함하는, 제1 오브젝트의 위치 및 방위를 트래킹하기 위한 광학 트래커 시스템. - 제1항에 있어서, 상기 트래커 디스플레이 유닛은 단일 기판 상에 형성되는 것인, 광학 트래커 시스템.
- 제1항에 있어서, 상기 디스플레이 모듈은, 상기 공간 예측의 관점으로부터의 공칭 외관(nominal appearance)으로 상기 트래커 디스플레이 유닛 상에 상기 기준 심볼을 디스플레이하도록 구성되는 것인, 광학 트래커 시스템.
- 제1항에 있어서, 상기 포지션 결정 모듈은, 상기 제1 오브젝트의 위치 및 방위를 결정하기 위해 상기 기준 심볼의 캡처된 외관을 공칭 외관과 비교하도록 구성되는 것인, 광학 트래커 시스템.
- 제1항에 있어서, 상기 포지션 결정 모듈은, 상기 제1 오브젝트의 위치 및 방위를 6 자유도(degrees-of-freedom; DOF)로 결정하도록 구성되는 것인, 광학 트래커 시스템.
- 제1항에 있어서, 상기 제1 오브젝트로서의 피사체(subject)의 머리 상에 배치되도록 구성된 구조체를 더 포함하는, 광학 트래커 시스템.
- 제1항에 있어서, 상기 제1 오브젝트로서의 피사체의 머리 상에 배치되도록 구성된 구조체; 및
상기 구조체 상에 장착되고 상기 구조체와 함께 움직일 수 있는 구조체 디스플레이 유닛
을 더 포함하는, 광학 트래커 시스템. - 제1항에 있어서, 상기 디스플레이 모듈은, 상기 기준 심볼을 상기 트래커 디스플레이 유닛 상에 비대칭 피처와의 교차 라인(intersecting line)들의 그리드로서 디스플레이하도록 구성되는 것인, 광학 트래커 시스템.
- 제1항에 있어서, 상기 디스플레이 모듈은, 상기 기준 심볼을 상기 트래커 디스플레이 유닛 상에 회전된 기준 심볼들의 네스팅된 쌍(nested pair)으로서 디스플레이하도록 구성되는 것인, 광학 트래커 시스템.
- 제1항에 있어서, 상기 트래커 디스플레이 유닛과 상기 카메라 유닛과 사이에 개재되고 상기 카메라 유닛의 이미지에 대한 상기 기준 심볼의 외관을 변경하도록 구성된 광 개조기(optical modifier)를 더 포함하고, 상기 광 개조기는, 굴절성 엘리먼트(refractive element), 비구면 렌즈(aspheric lens), 다수의 평행한 반사 표면 엘리먼트들, 또는 복수의 정반사 미러(specularly reflective mirror)들 중 적어도 하나를 포함하는 것인, 광학 트래커 시스템.
