Description
도 1은 종래의 EDF 시스템을 사용하여 이미지화된 대표적인 조직 샘플의 개략적인 단면도이다.
도 2는 본 발명의 개선된 EDF 시스템의 실시예를 사용하여 이미지화된 대표적인 조직 샘플의 개략적인 단면도이다.
도 3은 본 발명의 일 실시예에 따른 개선된 EDF 시스템의 블록도이다.
도 4는 본 발명의 실시예에 따른 개선된 EDF 처리 방법의 실시예의 순서도다.

Claims (14)
- 생물학적 샘플의 합성 디지털 이미지를 생성하기 위한 시스템에 있어서,
상기 생물학적 샘플의 복수의 이미지들 - 상기 복수의 이미지들의 각각은 단일 축을 따라 촬영됨 - 로부터 상기 생물학적 샘플의 합성 이미지를 생성하도록 구성된 컴퓨터 장치를 포함하고,
상기 컴퓨터 장치는,
(a) 상기 생물학적 샘플의 제1 x-y 위치에서 이미지 객체들의 제1 컬렉션에 대한 제1 초점면(focal plane)을 식별하고 - 상기 제1 초점면은 제1 z-거리를 포함함 -,
(b) 상기 생물학적 샘플의 제2 x-y 위치에서 이미지 객체들의 제2 컬렉션에 대한 제2 초점면을 식별하고 - 상기 제2 초점면은 제2 z-거리를 포함함 -,
(c) (a) 및 (b) 각각에 기초하여 제1 최적의 초점면 및 제2 최적의 초점면을 식별하고,
(d) 제1 최적의 초점면으로부터의 이미지 객체들과 제2 최적의 초점면으로부터의 이미지 객체들을 결합하여 상기 합성 디지털 이미지를 생성하며,
상기 컴퓨터 장치는 상기 제1 초점면의 이미지 객체들에 대한 선명도(sharpness) 값을 계산하고, 상기 제2 초점면의 이미지 객체들에 대한 선명도(sharpness) 값을 계산하고, 가장 높은 선명도 값들을 갖는 객체들의 위치의 2차원 맵을 생성하며,
상기 컴퓨터 장치는, 상기 제1 및 제2 초점면들에서 가장 높은 선명도 값들을 갖는 이미지 객체들의 위치의 상기 2차원 맵 상에서 하나 이상의 팽창(dilation) 및 침식(erosion)을 수행함으로써, 이미지 객체들의 상기 제1 및 제2 컬렉션에 대한 최적의 제1 초점면 및 최적의 제2 초점면을 식별하고, 상기 침식 및 팽창의 횟수는, 제1 및 제2 최적의 초점면을 식별하도록, 건강한 조직(tissue)에서 세포 경계들 사이의 거리에 비례하는 것이며,
상기 제1 최적의 초점면 상에 위치한 이미지 객체들은 초점이 맞도록(in-focus) 표시되고, 상기 제1 최적의 초점면 아래의 이미지 객체들은 강조 표시되지 않고, 상기 제2 최적의 초점면 상에 위치한 이미지 객체들은 초점이 맞도록 표시되고, 상기 제2 최적의 초점면 아래의 이미지 객체들은 강조 표시되지 않는 것인, 생물학적 샘플의 합성 디지털 이미지를 생성하기 위한 시스템. - 삭제

- 제1항에 있어서, 상기 복수의 이미지들 중 하나 이상의 이미지는 컬러 이미지이고, 상기 컴퓨터 장치는 상기 복수의 이미지들에 대한 상기 최적의 초점면을 식별하기 전에 상기 복수의 이미지들 중 하나 이상의 컬러 이미지를 그레이 스케일로 변환하는 것인, 생물학적 샘플의 합성 디지털 이미지를 생성하기 위한 시스템.
- 제1항에 있어서, 상기 합성 이미지는 상기 생물학적 샘플의 벌집 구조체(honeycomb structure)를 포함하는 것인, 생물학적 샘플의 합성 디지털 이미지를 생성하기 위한 시스템.
- 제7항에 있어서, 상기 벌집 구조체는 초점이 맞는(in focus) 것인, 생물학적 샘플의 합성 디지털 이미지를 생성하기 위한 시스템.
- 제1항에 있어서, 현미경 및 카메라를 더 포함하는 생물학적 샘플의 합성 디지털 이미지를 생성하기 위한 시스템.
