Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to a wide-angle compound-eye camera and a method for manufacturing a wide-angle compound-eye camera.
In general, a wide angle camera is a camera configured to be suitable for shooting in a wide range using a lens having an angle of view of more than 85 degrees, and an optical system focusing on image quality improvement is applied. Meanwhile, the compound-eye camera may acquire a multi-viewpoint image using a plurality of optical systems.
Recently, a wide-angle compound-eye camera has been proposed in order to photograph a wide range using a plurality of optical systems. Conventionally, a method of obtaining array images of various angles through refraction of light by matching each prism array to a micro lens is used. That is, in the related art, light is refracted through a prism located on the upper side, and each microlens is designed to observe a different area. However, a specific method for aligning and manufacturing the micro lens array and the micro prism has not been proposed in the prior art.
Meanwhile, in the related art, a technique for realizing a wide angle by arranging micro lenses on a substrate having a curved surface has been proposed. That is, conventionally, a wide angle is realized by arranging micro lenses on a spherical surface. However, in the related art, there is a problem in that the reproducibility is poor, the size of the system is increased, and the resolution of the image is lowered because a planar image sensor array cannot be used.
Meanwhile, in the related art, a method of using a micro lens array having different central optical axes to obtain a wide angle has been proposed. However, in the related art, the processing method of microlenses having different central optical axes and the process for arranging the image sensor of the corresponding area on the optical axis of the corresponding microlens are very complicated, and the optical axis generated by each microlens is in a direction perpendicular to the image sensor. Since this is not the case, there is a problem in that various image distortions occur.

A method of manufacturing a wide-angle compound-eye camera according to an embodiment includes (a) forming a microlens array on a first surface of a wafer; (b) patterning a thermosetting polymer in the form of micro posts on the second surface of the wafer, the second surface being a surface opposite to the first surface; (c) patterning a thermoplastic photoresist on the second surface; (d) forming a micro-prism array and micro-posts on the second surface by performing the steps (b) and (c) a plurality of times; and (e) packaging the spacers on the wafer through flip-chip bonding so that the micro lens array is spaced apart from the image sensor array.

According to various embodiments of the present disclosure, images of different field-of-view may be obtained by combining a micro lens array with a micro prism array having different angles (eg, inclination).
