Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to an ear health management system using a smartphone application and a method for controlling the same.
The nasal cavity is a space inside the nose and is divided into the left and right sides by the nasal septum. The inside is made of a mucous membrane, so it regulates the humidity and temperature of the air when breathing, and the glands of the mucous membrane secrete antibacterial substances. Just inside the nostrils, there is a round dome-shaped nasal vestibule, and the lumen that extends deeper to the nasopharynx is called the nasal cavity. It is divided into both nasal passages with the nasal septum as the center, and inside the nasal cavity, there are three layers of bones protruding inward like a shelf. It takes in external air through the nose, and when it receives air, it filters impurities, humidifies, and warms it. Air flows from the nasal discharge to the nasal shelf and performs primary humidification, heating, and filtration, and impurities are additionally removed by the large space where the nasal passages begin and cilia. The air that has passed through the nasal passages and uninterrupted from the outside is in a state suitable for breathing into the lungs. The inner surface of the nasal cavity has tall cilia that have mobility, so it can maintain the humidity of the nasal cavity and secrete sebum to remove impurities from the inhaled air. Sensory cells for the function of smell are distributed in the mucous membrane of the nasal cavity, and the sense of smell is transmitted through this.
Allergic rhinitis is a disease that causes symptoms such as paroxysmal and repeated sneezing, clear runny nose, stuffy nose, and itchy nose due to hypersensitivity of the inside of the nose to the causative antigen. Allergic rhinitis is on the rise worldwide due to the recent increase in environmental pollution and pollution. Nasal sinusitis is a condition in which the nose hairs are inflamed and the symptoms of frequent nosebleeds. A deviated septum is a case in which the nasal septum, the wall that divides the nostrils in two, is curved.
On the other hand, the passage from the entrance of the ear canal to the eardrum is called the external auditory meatus, and the disease caused by bacterial or fungal infection in the external auditory meatus is called otitis externa. The external auditory meatus has pores, earwax glands, sweat glands, and sebaceous glands, so it is easy for bacteria or fungi to invade. Otitis externa is a disease that occurs especially in hot and humid summer. This is because the external auditory canal is a passage of about 3 cm from the pinna of the auricle to the eardrum, and has a deep and narrow tunnel structure and can come into contact with polluted water in a swimming pool or a beach.
In particular, mycosis of the external auditory canal is common in people with inflammation of the external auditory canal, because the mucus makes the ear moist and mold thrives. If you have otitis media or tympanitis or have wet earwax, the inside of the ear is moist. If the inside of the ear is moist and frequently use canal type earphones that do not have ear ventilation, the risk of otitis externa is high.
Otitis externa is characterized by increased itching and ear wax. Picking the ear with a finger or a cotton swab due to itching causes swelling and inflammation of the external auditory meatus, exacerbating the symptoms. Inflammation can cause oozing, which can cause a bad odour, and can also cause deaf symptoms. Otitis externa is a recurrent disease, and in order to prevent it, it is necessary to keep the ear canal dry.
In some cases, infrared prescriptions may be given if a disease occurs in the ear, including otitis externa. In general, infrared prescription for the ear emits an infrared lamp to the outside and sits with the ear in front of it, so there is a problem of low effectiveness.
Therefore, there is a need for a management system for detecting and managing the state of the nasal cavity and external auditory meatus.
An object of the present invention is to provide an ear health management system using a smartphone application capable of detecting the state of the external auditory meatus and providing appropriate treatment according to the state of the external auditory meatus, and a method for controlling the same.

7 is a flowchart illustrating a method for controlling a nose and ear health management system using a smartphone application using an external auditory meatus treatment device.
The sensor of the ear canal treatment device according to the embodiment of FIG. 7 includes a temperature sensor, a humidity sensor, and a ph sensor.
First, when sensor information is input to the user terminal, it is determined whether it is a sensor detection signal of the ear canal treatment device (S20). In the case of the sensor detection signal of the ear canal treatment device, it is determined whether it is humidity information (S30). When the humidity value of the humidity information exceeds the set value (a) (S31), a control signal is transmitted to drive the fan (S32), and when it is not exceeded (S31), the fan is controlled to be off (S33). If you drive a fan to blow air into the ear canal, it has the effect of reducing the possibility of otitis externa caused by wearing earphones after washing your hair, swimming, etc.
It is determined whether the sensor detection signal is pH information (S40). If the pH information value exceeds the set value (b) (S41), it is determined that the inner ear canal is in a neutral or alkaline state and transmits a control signal to drive the LED (S42). The external auditory canal must be kept acidic to reduce the possibility of infection, and the normal external auditory canal pH is 5.51±0.47. In addition, when external otitis externa occurs, the pH of the external auditory meatus is neutral or alkaline, so it is possible to detect abnormalities in the external auditory meatus. If it is determined that the external auditory meatus is abnormal, the LED of the external auditory meatus treatment device is driven to enable phototherapy.
(S53).It is determined whether the sensor detection signal is temperature information (S50). Then, the temperature change value is calculated by comparing it with the temperature before the set time (S51). If the temperature value exceeds the set value (c) or the change in temperature exceeds the set value (d), the LED is turned off because it may cause a high temperature in the ear canal and cause sunburn (S53).

The sensor of the nasal treatment device according to the embodiment of FIG. 8 includes a temperature sensor, a humidity sensor, and a ph sensor.
(S60).First, when sensor information is input to the user terminal, it is determined whether it is a sensor detection signal of the nasal treatment device (S60).
(S61).In the case of the sensor detection signal of the nasal treatment device, it is determined whether it is humidity information (S61).
When the humidity value of the humidity information is less than the set value (e) (S62), a control signal is transmitted to drive the LED (S63). Since the nasal cavity must maintain the set humidity to maintain health, phototherapy should be performed when the humidity is less than the set value.
(S64).It is determined whether the sensor detection signal is pH information (S64).
(S66).When the amount of pH change exceeds the set value through the history of pH information (S65), it is determined that the inside of the nasal cavity is infected, and the LED is driven to perform phototherapy (S66).
(S67).It is determined whether the sensor detection signal is temperature information (S67).
(S68).A temperature change amount is calculated through the temperature information history (S68).
(S70).When the temperature value is equal to or greater than the set value (g) or the temperature change value is equal to or greater than the set value (h) (S69), the LED is turned off (S70).
