Description
The present invention relates to a device and a method, and more particularly, to a device using an oxidation-reduction reaction and a method for delivering a drug using the same.
In general, in the cosmetic field, a sheet mask pack is a product that can obtain moisturizing and cleansing effects by attaching a sheet type made in the shape of a face without the need to apply by hand. It is available on the market in various forms, such as a sheet divided into two sheets, and a sheet tailored to specific areas such as under the eyes, around the eyes, and around the mouth.
Since a general mask pack locally delivers a physiologically active substance through the skin, there is a limit to the delivery of useful substances to the skin. In order to deliver useful substances to the skin using the mask pack, it is important to make the mask pack adhere well to the skin. In addition, various attempts have been made to further enhance the cosmetic effect, and one of them is to use an iontophoresis device.
Iontophoresis is a drug delivery method that allows charged molecules to easily pass through tissues. The iontophoresis device is a technology for penetrating ionic substances into the skin using direct current. In order to use the repulsive force between ions of the same polarity, positive ionic substances are applied to the '+' electrode, The negative ionic material is applied to the '-' electrode to allow the ionic material to easily penetrate the skin. Unlike traditional transdermal administration, in which drugs are passively absorbed, active transport takes place in an electric field in an iontophoretic device. Background art of the present invention is disclosed in Korean Patent Application Laid-Open No. 10-2017-0094220 (2017.08.17. Title: Method and Apparatus for Improved Wound Healing).
