Abstract

The present invention discloses a grip cover for a billiard cue. A grip cover for a billiard cue according to the present invention includes natural leather; fabric bonded with an adhesive to the periphery of the natural leather; and an upper layer member bonded with an adhesive to the periphery of the fabric, wherein the upper layer member may be fabric or artificial leather. According to the present invention, it is possible to provide a grip cover with greatly improved feeling of use and striking stability compared to conventional products. The present invention relates to a grip cover used by being mounted on a billiard cue, and more specifically, by laminating natural leather, cloth, artificial leather, etc., the feeling of use and hitting stability are greatly improved, and a grip cover that can be easily worn on a billiard cue; It relates to a manufacturing method thereof.

However, since most of the lower arm 13 of the cue 10 has a smooth coating process, there is a problem in that the feeling of use and hitting is deteriorated due to sweat when the user holds it with bare hands and uses it for a long time.

In order to solve this problem, most clubs or players use gloves or, as illustrated in FIG. 1 , mainly use a cue 10 equipped with a grip cover 17 on the handle portion.

The grip cover 17 has a pipe shape corresponding to the handle portion of the cue 10 , and as illustrated in FIG. 2 , various materials and types of grip covers have been distributed in the prior art.

For example, (a) is an artificial leather (washing) material, (b) is a silicone material, (c) is a rubber material, (d) is used by winding an artificial leather band, and (e) is As a heat-shrinkable material, it shrinks and adheres to the handle only when heat is applied with a hair dryer or the like.

On the other hand, grip covers made of natural leather are rarely distributed, but when processed thinly for grip covers, it is known that it is difficult to manufacture as a single product because natural leather has weak durability compared to artificial family members, silicone, rubber, and the like. However, a method of forming a grip cover by directly winding a natural leather fabric after applying an adhesive to the surface of the cue 10 is known.

However, such a conventional grip cover has several problems as follows.

First, since the grip cover made of artificial family, silicone and rubber does not absorb sweat, there is a problem that it reduces the feeling of use and the stability of hitting due to the sticky and slippery feeling when used for a long time.

Second, as shown in FIG. 3, the grip cover made of artificial leather (washing) material has a sense of creaking or jamming when held by hand because the seam 17a is formed long in the longitudinal direction, and this results in a feeling of use and stability of hitting There is a problem of lowering

For this reason, recently, as illustrated in FIG. 4 , a method of mounting a grip cover made of silicon by rolling it in a ring shape and moving it to the handle part has been introduced. However, even with this mounting method, it is still very difficult to move the position even a little after mounting. In addition, in the case of a rubber material, it is difficult to apply this mounting method because it does not dry as easily as a silicone material.

Fourth, the method of directly adhering the grip cover to the surface of the billiard cue using an adhesive has a problem in that it is almost impossible to replace the grip cover with another one.

Also, although not shown in the drawings, a plurality of holes may be formed in the artificial leather 130 . When a plurality of holes are formed in this way, sweat or moisture generated from the user's hand is absorbed into the fabric 120 or the natural leather 110 disposed below through the hole, thereby improving the feeling of use. It is also possible to consider disposing natural leather on the top layer instead of artificial leather 130, but since there is a disadvantage of easily falling off when a silicone anti-slip material 160 or a reinforcing layer 170 is formed on the surface of the natural leather, the top layer as much as possible. Hereinafter, a method of manufacturing the grip cover 100 according to the first embodiment of the present invention will be described with reference to FIG. 8 .

First, materials such as natural leather 110 , cloth 120 , and artificial leather 130 are prepared and cut to a length and width corresponding to the handle portion of each billiard cue 10 to be worn.

The thickness of the natural leather 110, the cloth 120 and the artificial leather 130 is preferably 0.1 mm or more and 1.0 mm or less, respectively. If it is thinner than this range, durability is too weak, and if it is thicker, the user may have a reduced feeling of hitting due to a change in the thickness of the billiard cue 10 . (ST11)

The thickness to be removed by the grinder to form the grinding part 115 is preferably 1/2 of the thickness of the natural leather 110 . However, the present invention is not necessarily limited thereto, and when about 10% to 50% of the thickness of the material is removed, the feeling of protrusion or foreign body felt by the user can be greatly reduced.

On the other hand, the grinding parts 115 and 116 are preferably formed on both edges of the endothelium 111, but are not necessarily limited thereto. It is also possible to form a grinding part together. (ST12)

Next, as illustrated in FIG. 11 , the connecting material 150 is coupled to the grinding part 115 formed on one side of the natural leather 110 using an adhesive. The length of the connecting material 150 is the same as that of the natural leather 110 , and the width is preferably twice the width of the grinding part 115 .

In addition, the connecting material 150 is preferably made of the same material as the natural leather 110 , but is not necessarily limited thereto, and fabric, artificial leather, etc. may be used as the connecting material 150 .

In addition, the thickness of the connecting material 150 is most preferably 1/2 of the natural leather 110, but is not necessarily limited thereto, and in consideration of durability, the connecting material 150 of the same thickness as the natural leather 110 may be used. . (ST13)

Referring to FIG. 15 , the boundary portions 129 at which both edges of the fabric 120 face each other are preferably formed within a predetermined angular range (a) from both ends of the connecting material 150 as a starting point.

The operation of forming the anti-slip material 160 may be prepared in advance in the material preparation step of ST11 or may be prepared by purchasing a ready-made product in which the anti-slip material 160 is formed. (ST17)

Next, an adhesive is applied to the entire surface of the fabric 120 , and as shown in FIG. 17 , the artificial leather 130 having an anti-slip material 160 formed on the surface is wound around the fabric 120 .

At this time, it is preferable that one edge and the other edge of the artificial leather 130 do not overlap each other and precisely contact each other at the boundary (see 139 of FIG. 7 ) and are positioned at the same height.

In addition, since boundary portions 129 having opposite edges are formed on the surface of the cloth 120 , it is preferable to wind the artificial leather 130 so that the boundary portions 129 of the cloth 120 are covered.
