선단조임부(2)는 주벽을 4등분으로 구분하여 토시본체와 연결되는 내측조임부를 고무사와 스판데스사가 혼합편직된 제1조임부(21)로 형성하고, 제1조임부 외측에는 제1조임부와 연결되면서 스판덱스사로 편직되는 제2조임부(22)로 형성하며, 제2조임부 외측에는 제2조임부와 연결되고, 고무사와 스판덱스사가 혼합 편직되는 제3조임부(23)로 형성하고, 제3조임부 외측에는 제3조임부와 연결되면서 고무사로 편직되는 제4조임부(24)를 구분되게 형성하여 신축조임부를 구성하고, 선단조임부의 제2조임부에는 엄지손가락이 관통되는 관통구멍(4)을 형성하여 이루어지며, 관통구멍(4)은 제2조임부(22)의 상하폭 중간지점에서 환편기의 가로방향을 따라 일직구간을 선택하여 직선구간에 형성되는 편환(40)이 서로 결속되지 않고, 분리되는 일정길이의 편환분리부(41)를 형성하여 편환분리부의 상하측에 배치되는 편환에 스판덱스지지사(42)를 관통시켜 편환분리부(41)의 편환(40)이 스판덱스지지사에 연결되어 지지되게 함으로써, 편환분리부가 편직물의 신축력을 받으면 스판덱스지지사가 변형되어 타원형상의 구멍(41a)이 형성되도록 한 팔토시의 선단조임부.
