도 2는 도 1에 도시된 탄소섬유의 접촉각을 측정하기 위한 표면장력계를 개략적으로 도시한 도면.
도 3은 도 2에 도시된 접촉각 측정셀에 패킹된 탄소섬유의 단면을 도시한 단면도.
도 4는 도 3에 도시된 탄소섬유의 직경을 촬영한 사진.
도 5 내지 도 7은 본 발명에서 측정된 시간에 따른 각각의 젖음액 무게의 제곱에 관한 그래프.
도 8 및 도 9는 단일 탄소섬유의 접촉각을 측정한 결과와 본 발명의 실시 예에 따른 접촉각 측정방법으로 측정된 결과를 각각 도시한 그래프들.

Claims (1)
- (a) 지름의 1/4인치(inch)인 원통형의 접촉각 측정셀에 30%의 공극율을 유지하도록 직경이 7 μm인 576000개의 섬유를 일방향으로 패킹하여 상기 섬유 상단이 상기 접촉각 측정셀에 고정되는 단계;
(b) 패킹된 복수의 섬유를 표면장력계에 수직으로 설치하는 단계; 및
(c) 상기 표면장력계에 사용되는 젖음액의 밀도, 점도, 표면장력, 시간에 따른 상기 젖음액의 질량의 변화와 모세관 상수(capillary constant) 값을 이용하여 접촉각을 계산하는 단계;를 포함하고,
상기 단계 (c)는,
표면장력계의 승강장치를 섬유까지 상승시켜 승강장치의 상부에 설치된 젖음액이 섬유에 300초 동안 접촉하도록 하고,
상기 표면장력계의 측정부는 시간에 따른 젖음액의 질량 변화를 측정하며,
상기 단계 (a) 이후,
상기 패킹된 섬유의 일단을 평탄하게 절단하는 단계를 더 포함하고,
상기 단계 (c) 는,
상기 젖음액 중 노말 헥산(normal Hexane)을 이용하여 상기 접촉각이 0인 상태에서 노말 헥산(normal Hexane)의 점도, 밀도, 표면장력 값과 시간에 따라 입자를 적시는 적심질량과 기울기를 결정하여 상기 모세관 상수를 계산한 이후,
증류수(distilled water)인 극성 젖음액 또는 diiodonethane인 비극성 젖음액의 접촉각을 계산하고,
상기 접촉각은,
으로 계산되며,

상기 접촉각 측정시간(t)은,
증류수(distilled water)인 극성 젖음액일 경우 1~2초 구간이고, diiodonethane인 비극성 젖음액일 경우 0~0.35초 구간이고,
상기 단계 (c) 이후에,
상기 접촉각계산 결과를 통해 상기 섬유의 표면자유에너지()를 계산하는 단계를 더 포함하고,
