Description
The present invention relates to a silane-modified acrylic pressure-sensitive adhesive composition that realizes excellent adhesion to silicone materials.
In general, the pressure-sensitive adhesive is a material that sufficiently adheres to the adherend with only the pressure applied, and exhibits a viscoelastic behavior with low cohesiveness, fast stress relaxation, and easy deformation against external forces compared to the adhesive, and the raw materials used for the pressure-sensitive adhesive are natural rubber, synthetic Since thermoplastic resins such as rubber, acrylic, and silicone mostly have elastic properties, they have viscoelastic properties by mixing and using low molecular weight materials to impart viscous properties.
On the other hand, among the raw materials of the pressure-sensitive adhesive, recently, the acrylic pressure-sensitive adhesive has rapidly increased its use by replacing the rubber-based pressure-sensitive adhesive, and it can be used in a wide variety of forms such as solvent-type, water-based emulsion type, hot-melt type, and 100% solid reactive pressure-sensitive adhesive. The acrylic adhesive is excellent in weather resistance, heat resistance, cold resistance, oil resistance, etc., and can be made relatively easily according to various purposes and uses. Therefore, it can be said that the fact that the adhesive product can be used for a variety of uses, such as the present, originated from the appearance of the acrylic adhesive.
However, conventional acrylic adhesives are made of functional groups having strong polarity, and thus are not attached to non-polar silicone materials, and thus are not used for adhesion of silicone materials.
Therefore, there is a problem in that a silicone adhesive having a higher price than an acrylic adhesive must be used for the adhesion of the silicone material.
The present invention is to solve the above problems, by providing a silane-modified acrylic pressure-sensitive adhesive composition copolymerized with a silane, while using a low-cost acrylic pressure-sensitive adhesive compared to the silicone pressure-sensitive adhesive, the problem to be able to implement excellent adhesion to the silicone material Shall be

The present invention has an effect that can realize excellent adhesion to the silicone material while using an acrylic adhesive at a lower price compared to the silicone adhesive.
It should be noted that the present invention relates to a silane-modified acrylic pressure-sensitive adhesive composition, and only parts necessary for understanding the technical configuration of the present invention will be described, and descriptions of other parts will be omitted so as not to distract the subject matter of the present invention.
Hereinafter, the silane-modified acrylic pressure-sensitive adhesive composition according to the present invention will be described in detail.
The silane-modified acrylic pressure-sensitive adhesive composition according to the present invention is characterized by mixing 3 to 10 parts by weight of silane, 0.05 to 0.10 parts by weight of an initiator, and a solvent with respect to 100 parts by weight of the monomer mixture.
That is, by providing a silane-modified acrylic pressure-sensitive adhesive composition copolymerized with silane, it is possible to implement excellent adhesion to a silicone material while using a low-cost acrylic pressure-sensitive adhesive compared to a silicone pressure-sensitive adhesive.
More specifically, the monomer mixture is butyl acrylate (Butyl acrylate) 68 ~ 77% by weight, butyl methacrylate (Butyl methacrylate) 20 ~ 24% by weight, glycidyl methacrylate (Glycidyl methacrylate) 2 ~ 5% by weight and It consists of 1 to 3% by weight of acrylic acid.
Here, when the type or the amount of the monomer mixture is out of the above range, there is a fear that the effect of improving the adhesion is insufficient.
Meanwhile, the silane is used to modify the acrylic adhesive to silane, and 3-(trimethoxysilyl)propyl methacrylate is used, and when the content is outside the above range, modification is performed. If this is not done properly, there is a fear that the effect of improving the adhesion to the silicone material will be insufficient.
The initiator, which is added to react each of the monomers, uses benzoyl peroxide, and if the content is outside the above range, the adhesive strength becomes insufficient or unreacted monomer components will remain in the composition. I have a concern.
The solvent is to be added for the viscosity control, toluene (Toluene) or methyl ethyl ketone (methyl ethyl ketone) is used, it is possible to adjust the content according to the content of the silane, preferably the total solid content of the adhesive 30 ~ Add to 40% by weight.
In addition, since there is a possibility of haze of the acrylic adhesive composition according to the addition of silane, it is preferable to increase the use rate of toluene according to the increase in silane to control the overall polarity.
On the other hand, looking at the manufacturing method using each of the materials are as follows.
First, 30% by weight of the total content of the monomer mixture, 25% by weight of the total content of the solvent, and 30% by weight of the total content of the initiator are mixed in a reaction tank and purged with nitrogen, and then the initial reaction proceeds at 80°C. And after confirming the increase in viscosity by initial initiation reaction, 70% by weight of the remaining monomers, 75% by weight of solvents and 70% by weight of initiators are dropped over 5 hours, and when the viscosity rises rapidly, a solvent is additionally added to control viscosity. . After 30 minutes of dropping, when the conversion rate reaches 80~85%, the amount of silane is diluted in a solvent with 10%, and after dropping for 1 hour, the reaction is maintained until the conversion rate reaches 100% or more. It is prepared by continuously dropping to set a final solid content of 30 to 40% by weight and cooling to room temperature to terminate the reaction.
Here, when the manufacturing conditions are out of the above range, there is a fear that the monomer is not sufficiently polymerized or a rapid reaction proceeds. In addition, gelation of the acrylic adhesive composition can be prevented when the addition time of the silane is added at a conversion rate of 80 to 85%, and gelation of the acrylic adhesive composition may occur when participating at a conversion rate of 80% or less, and silane addition at a conversion rate of 85% or more There is a possibility that the polymerization of silane in the main chain is not achieved.
