Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to a flow meter calibration system, and more particularly, to a flow meter calibration system using a flow switching valve for flow meter calibration.
The flow meter is a device for measuring the flow rate of a fluid flowing in a pipe. The flowmeters used throughout the industry are used for leak measurement, pump capacity check, flow measurement, flow rate balancing and area flow meter check. Leakage measurements are made by measuring and comparing the flow rates of fluid supply and drainage lines, outflow line junctions, and so on.
The comparative measurement of the flow rate is used to verify the performance of the existing flowmeter by comparing it with the existing flowmeter. The flowmeter must be inspected to determine whether the flowmeter's measurement accuracy is within a certain range before it is installed in an industrial site, when a flowmeter problem occurs, or after a certain period of time (usually one year recommended, depending on its own calibration cycle) Should be calibrated.
The flowmeter calibration is a process to check the degree of measurement error compared with the reference flow meter to ensure the reliability of the flowmeter and to maintain the required measurement accuracy through correction when necessary. One of the main objectives of this calibration is to increase the efficiency of process control. That is, the gradual decrease in performance of the installed flow meter over time may adversely affect the quality and cost of the product, so that the efficiency of the flow meter itself and the process management for operating the flow meter are maintained at a certain level or more .

Hereinafter, a flow meter calibration system using a flow switching valve for calibrating a flow meter according to a preferred embodiment of the present invention will be described in detail with reference to the accompanying drawings.
When the flowmeter is calibrated, it is measured three times at one flow rate, and the process of increasing, decreasing, and increasing at the flow rate is repeated. That is, when measuring five points, it is necessary to readjust the flow rate at least 15 times, and to include the time required to stabilize the signal and the time to record the measurement data.
In addition, since the degree of deviation varies greatly depending on the skill of the measurer, it is desirable to minimize the manpower and deviation to be inputted to the calibration work.
In the present invention, the influence of the asymmetric injection according to the flow rate is minimized by using the flow switching valve to improve the accuracy of the flow measurement value.
In addition, the computer is controlled automatically by the control of the system so as to minimize the manpower and deviation in the calibration work.
FIG. 1 is a graph showing a flow rate distribution of a unidirectional flow switching valve, and is a graph showing a condition with no error according to a flow rate change.
That is, Figure 1 shows the most ideal form of the flow rate distribution. In order to satisfy the error-free condition, as shown in FIG. 1, the sum of area A and area D must be equal to the sum of area B and area C in the period from t 0 to t 2 and from t 3 to t 5 , And the area C must match, and the area B and the area D must match. In this way, it is necessary to offset the errors due to the flow rate change by symmetry.
Generally, a flow meter mounted on a channel through which a fluid flows is used to measure the flow rate of the liquid. When the flow rate is measured through the volume, an error may be caused by the change in the flow rate because the density of the fluid to be used varies depending on the temperature or the pressure.
When calibrating a flow meter with a weight system, the flow rate (reference value) is obtained by measuring the weight of the fluid passing through the calibrating equipment for a certain period of time and dividing the weight by the collection time. In this case, when the flow of the fluid is controlled by using the ON / OFF valve, an interval due to a rise of the flow rate from 0 to the target flow rate and a decrease of the target flow rate to 0 occurs, .
This is because, while the flow of the fluid is controlled, the flow switching valve of the ON / OFF structure is driven in different directions, which causes an error due to the flow rate change. Thus, by moving the position of the optical sensor using an optical sensor that reads the time at which the flow rate starts to be measured and the time at which the flow rate measurement ends, the area where A + D and B + C are equal And the errors should be canceled each other. Since the position of the optical sensor varies depending on the weight of the fluid and the measurement time, it is necessary to frequently correct and compensate the position of the optical sensor. Since the calibration value of the flow rate (reference value) There is a problem that needs work.

2. Then, the pump is operated to flow the fluid, and the fluid flowing through the fixed nozzle is moved to the bypass area and waits until the flow rate is stabilized.
3. Then, when the flow rate by the pump is stabilized, the collection of the fluid is started according to the user's signal.
4. Adjust the upper flow switching valve and the lower flow switching valve to move according to the user's signal, and when the collection is completed, calculate the reference flow rate value by receiving the collected fluid weight and the collection time. The time point at which the collection ends is the same as the position of the upper flow-switching
Then, the average flow rate of the flowmeter is calculated from the start of collecting the fluid to the end of the collecting.
Next, an error between the average flow rate of the flow meter and the reference flow rate is calculated.
For repeated measurements, the water in the collection tank is emptied and the positions of the upper and lower flow switching valves are initialized.
All the data generated during the measurement is recorded on the computer and the automatic measurement program ends.
In this manner, the reference flow rate is compared with the flow measurement value measured in the flow meter, and the flow meter is calibrated according to the result. That is, the flow measurement value of the flow meter is corrected based on the calculated reference flow rate, and if the flow measurement value measured by the flow meter is correct, the two measured flow values should match.
Computer (not shown)
The computer is connected to the flowmeter calibration system to compare the flow rate information of the fluid and calculate the calibration value. The flow rate information includes fluid pressure, temperature, and flow rate ranges. As the flow rate and flow rate information of the fluid is directly transferred to the computer, the computer reads the measured information and analyzes the deviation of the flow rate measurement value and processes the flow rate measurement value to reach the target flow rate measurement value .
As such, the computer automatically initializes and controls the flow meter calibration system, thereby reducing the variability of the deviations that are dependent on the skill of the measurer. In addition, it is possible to shorten the workforce to 3 ~ 8 minutes compared to 20 ~ 40 minutes which is the time of the existing calibration work.
The operation of the flowmeter calibration system of the present invention will be described with reference to FIG. Figure 8 illustrates the operation of the upper and lower flow switching valves in a flow meter calibration system in accordance with the present invention.
First, [1] let the fluid discharged through the fixed
[2] When the fluid is stabilized, the upper flow-switching
[3] The lower flow-switching
[4] - [5] The upper
[6] The lower flow-switching
[7] As the upper flow-switching
Then, as described above in the order of calculating the reference flow rate of the fluid, the reference flow rate is calculated, all data generated during the measurement is recorded on the computer, and the automatic measurement program ends.
8, it can be confirmed that the positions of the upper flow-switching
This controls the direction of the upper flow-switching
