Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to an apparatus for cutting radioactive metal waste generated in a nuclear power facility.
Currently, radioactive metal wastes generated from nuclear power plants are cut in a simple cutting method except for a part, and they are stored in a temporary space. Particularly, such metal wastes are difficult to reduce their volume due to limitations of a compression process which is a general volume reduction method.
Radioactive metal wastes that are stored undecreted are faced with the challenge of ensuring storage space for waste drum loading as well as not being able to recycle resources.
As a method to solve the resource recycling and storage space of radioactive metal waste, the radioactive material on the surface of the radioactive metal waste is removed and taken out as general waste. At this time, The cutting operation must be performed.
There are plasma cutting, oxyacetylene cutting, grinder cutting, cutting by machine tool, and so on, which are performed by the nuclear power plant. There is a problem such as pollution spread and human body pollution due to waste generated in dust and secondary.
Valves 152 and 153 may be provided at the front end and the rear end of the
The

The control unit controls the
Hereinafter, an example in which the metal waste cutting apparatus of the present invention is used in the wet cutting process and the dry cutting process will be described.
Referring to Figure 2, the
When the
The
Cutting
As described above, the metal waste cutting apparatus of the present invention is optimized so that both wet cutting and dry cutting can be both effective and environmentally friendly, and the
