Description
The present invention relates to an aqueous basecoat paint composition for automobile repair and an automobile part comprising the coating layer. More particularly, the present invention relates to a paint composition for an automobile repair, and more particularly to an automobile part comprising a polyurethane dispersion resin and an acrylic emulsion resin, The present invention relates to an aqueous basecoat paint composition which is environmentally friendly and excellent in paint workability and useful for automobile repair.
High-level industrialization has provided human-made sense of real life. As one of the most outstanding inventions in modern society, automobiles have been technologically grown since the 1980s, and their appearance has become more important. Automobile repair paint is a paint that requires high workability and performance compared with other repair paint, and has been developed rapidly over the past decade, resulting in improved appearance of the coating. However, existing automobile repair coatings contain more than 65% of organic solvents as oil-soluble paints. The coating composition according to the present invention can minimize the amount of organic solvent that is released into the atmosphere during coating and can provide an excellent coating film appearance and physical properties (adhesion, water resistance, etc.) at the same time while enhancing environmental friendliness and safety of workers And can be particularly suitably used as a base coat for automobile repair.
Hereinafter, the present invention will be described in more detail.
(1) Polyurethane Dispersion Suzy
The polyurethane dispersion resin used in the coating composition of the present invention plays a role of securing excellent appearance such as improvement of adhesion of the coating composition and improvement of gloss retention rate.
The polyurethane dispersion resin may have a solid content of 20 to 40% by weight and a dynamic viscosity of 20 to 60 mPa.s. Specifically, an aliphatic polyester-polycarbonate, Based polyurethane resin can be used.

The coating composition of the present invention may contain 10 to 50% by weight, preferably 10 to 45% by weight, and more preferably 15 to 45% by weight, based on 100% by weight of the total composition of the acrylic emulsion resin . When the content of the acrylic emulsion resin is less than 10% by weight, there may be a problem in the orientation and the like with respect to the effect pigments, and when it exceeds 50% by weight, poor storage stability due to an increase in viscosity may occur.
(3) Water
The coating composition of the present invention contains water as an essential solvent component, more specifically deionized water.
The coating composition of the present invention may contain water in an amount of 15 to 60% by weight, preferably 20 to 55% by weight, more preferably 25 to 50% by weight based on 100% by weight of the total composition. If the content of water is less than 15% by weight, the content of the resin may be increased and the price may be increased or the VOC may be increased. On the other hand, when the content of the water exceeds 60% by weight, the content of the resin may be lowered,

The coating composition of the present invention may further include a non-aqueous solvent as an additional solvent component in order to further improve spray workability and the like. As the non-aqueous solvent, an alcohol solvent, an ether solvent, or a combination thereof may be used. Examples of the solvent for the alcohol include methanol, ethanol, butanol, and isobutanol. Examples of the ether solvent include ethylene glycol methyl ether, ethylene glycol ethyl ether, ethylene glycol butyl ether, ethylene glycol pentyl ether, Dipropylene glycol methyl ether, dipropylene glycol butyl ether, and the like.
When the non-aqueous solvent is contained in the coating composition of the present invention, the content thereof is preferably 10% by weight or less (for example, 1 to 10% by weight) based on 100% by weight of the total composition, Or less (for example, 2 to 8% by weight). If the amount of the non-aqueous solvent to be used is too small, the intended use thereof can not be achieved. For example, metallic pigments, pearl pigments, colored pigments, etc. may be used alone or in combination, but the present invention is not limited thereto.
There is no particular limitation on the type of the leveling agent, and a leveling agent generally used in the production of a water-base coating composition may be used. For example, nonionic acrylic copolymers, ionic polyacrylate-based surfactants, and acetylenic diol-based surfactants can be used alone or in combination, but the present invention is not limited thereto.
There is no particular limitation on the amount of the above-mentioned optional additive components, and it can be used in an amount usually used in a water-based paint composition. For example, each of the additive components may be appropriately used within a range of 0.01 to 3% by weight based on 100% by weight of the total composition, but is not limited thereto.
The method for producing the coating composition of the present invention is not particularly limited, and can be produced by using the conventional aqueous coating material production method and equipment as it is, or by appropriately modifying and using it.
