Description
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION 1. Field of the Invention The present invention relates to a seat belt height adjusting apparatus for a vehicle, and more particularly, to a seat belt height adjusting apparatus capable of smoothly sliding a slider unit against a slider base and smoothly pushing an operation button.
Generally, the seat belt of a vehicle is extended upward from the lower portion retractor of the center pillar and then drawn out to the room side through a pillar loop at the upper end of the center pillar. And the tongue of the seat belt is fastened to the buckle on the opposite side to safely restrain the passenger's body.
The pillar loops may be fixedly provided on the center pillar or may be configured to adjust the height of the seat belt according to the body shape of the passenger in consideration of the user's convenience.
The seat belt height adjusting device generally includes an adjusting plate having a locking hole fixed to the vehicle body and a slider configured to be slidable along the adjusting plate and having a pillar loop coupled to the seat belt at one side thereof.
Since the slider is configured to slide in contact with the adjustment plate, smooth contact with the adjustment plate is required for smoothly raising and lowering the slider.
In general, in the seat belt height adjusting apparatus, a locking pin is provided for moving the slider to a desired position and then restraining the slider to a predetermined position of the adjustment plate, and an operation knob for locking and unlocking the locking pin is also employed. When the operation knob is used, smooth operation is required.
SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION It is an object of the present invention to provide a seat belt height adjusting device for slidably moving a slider by supplying a lubricant to an adjusting plate while sliding the slider coupled to the seat belt against the adjusting plate, .
Another object of the present invention is to provide a seat belt height adjusting device which smoothly operates the operation button for operating the locking and unlocking operations of the locking pin for restricting the slider to a predetermined position of the adjusting plate.
