Abstract
The present invention relates to a side wall reinforced pneumatic tire, which comprises a side wall assembly semi-finished product layer in a single semi-finished product form together with a side wall rubber layer so as to cover the outside of the carcass ply at the bead portion and the side wall portion, The rigidity of the sidewall portion is reinforced by the sidewall reinforcement extending portion which is superimposed on the lower side of the sidewall rubber layer from the body portion and extends to have a thin thickness so as to cover the outside of the turnup portion of the carcass ply, The durability and ride comfort of the load can be improved, and the supporting rigidity can be increased to improve the handling performance.
Description
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION 1. Field of the Invention [0002] The present invention relates to a side wall reinforcing pneumatic tire, and more particularly, to a side wall reinforcing pneumatic tire which can reinforce the rigidity of a side wall through an extension of a rim flange forming a bead.
As is well known, the pneumatic tire supports the entire load of the automobile by the air filled with the preset pressure therein, absorbs the impact received from the road surface by the buffering action, and by friction between the road surface and the outer peripheral surface It performs the basic driving, stopping and redirecting functions of the car.
Therefore, the pneumatic tire has an inner liner manufactured to enhance the permeability to the air injected into the inner tire, and an inner liner manufactured to have the fatigue resistance against the bending and stretching load repeated during operation corresponding to the skeleton of the tire A tread forming a ground surface of the tire; a side wall for protecting the carcass ply; a bead portion for mounting a tire on a rim; (Beam Portion), a specimen gum (Gum Chafer) connected to an end of the inner liner and reinforcing and reinforcing the bead portion, and an Apex positioned above the bead portion.
On the other hand, the sidewall portion corresponds to the side surface of the tire and is required to have excellent elasticity so as to absorb shock and vibration from the ground, but it is the weakest part due to frequent bending motion.
Accordingly, various methods for reinforcing the side wall portion have been studied, and methods of adding semifinished products such as a rubber shear, a nylon shear, or an insert rubber strip have been mainly used.
However, in the above-described side wall reinforcement methods, the added semi-finished products have a low adhesive force with the carcass ply, resulting in a separation phenomenon in which the layers are separated by repetitive bending motion, or the weight of the tire is increased to reduce fuel consumption .
SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION It is an object of the present invention to overcome the above-mentioned problems by providing a sidewall assembly capable of improving durability, ride comfort and handling performance of a tire by reinforcing the rigidity of the sidewall portion as well as the bead portion, To provide a reinforced pneumatic tire.
In order to achieve the above object, a side wall reinforced pneumatic tire according to the present invention comprises a pneumatic tire including a side wall assembly semi-finished product layer covering an outer side of a carcass ply at a bead portion and a side wall portion, Wherein the side wall assembly semi-finished product layer includes a rim flange rubber layer extending from a lower side of the bead portion to a portion before a turn-up end portion of the carcass ply forming the sidewall portion, And a cord reinforcing layer on which reinforcing cords are arranged on the inner side in contact with the ply.
Here, the rim flange rubber layer may include a rim flange body portion forming a seating protrusion so as to be fitted to the rim outside the carcass fly-up portion of the bead portion; And a sidewall reinforcing extension portion extending from the rim flange body portion to the lower side of the lower end portion of the sidewall rubber layer and extending to cover the turn-up end portion of the carcass ply.
The rim flange rubber layer may further include a bead reinforcing extension portion extending from the rim flange body portion to be in contact with the inner liner end portion inside the bead portion.
It is preferable that the distance L1 from the extending end of the side wall reinforcing extension to the turn-up end of the carcass ply is within a range of 10 mm to 20 mm.
It is preferable that the thickness (T1) of the cord reinforcing layer of the rim flange rubber layer is within a range of 0.2 mm to 0.3 mm.
The reinforcing cord constituting the cord reinforcing layer may be made of the same fabric material as the carcass ply.
It is preferable that the thickness T2 of the upper rubber layer covering the cord reinforcing layer of the side wall reinforcing extension portion is within a range of 0.4 mm to 0.5 mm.
According to the sidewall reinforcement pneumatic tire of the present invention, the semi-finished product of the side wall assembly is formed as a single semi-finished product together with the sidewall rubber layer so as to cover the outside of the carcass ply at the bead portion and the sidewall portion, By reinforcing the rigidity of the sidewall portion by the sidewall reinforcement extending portion which is superimposed on the lower side of the sidewall rubber layer from the flange body portion and which is formed so as to cover the outer side of the turnup portion of the carcass ply, It is possible to improve the durability and ride comfort with respect to the working load and to enhance the handling rigidity to improve the handling performance.
