Abstract
본 발명은 그래핀을 함유한 올레핀 분리용 고분자 복합박막 및 이를 이용한 올레핀 촉진수송 분리막에 관한 것으로서, 본 발명에 따른 그래핀 함유 올레핀 촉진수송 분리막은 그래핀이 아닌 카본 블랙 등의 탄소계 물질을 함유한 고분자 분리막이나, 그래핀을 함유하지 않은 금속 나노입자를 올레핀의 선택적인 촉진수송이 가능한 분리막에 비하여 보다 향상된 투과도를 가지며, 특히 상업적 적용이 가능한 선택도 특성을 가지면서 동시에 현저히 향상된 투과도를 가져 종래 증류 공정을 대체할 수 있는 분리막 시스템에 적용할 수 있다.
Description
본 발명은 그래핀을 함유한 올레핀 분리용 고분자 복합박막 및 이를 이용한 올레핀 촉진수송 분리막에 관한 것이다.
고분자 분리막을 이용한 각종 혼합 물질의 분리법은 종래에는 주로 이산화탄소와 메탄, 산소와 공기, 유기물 증기와 공기 등의 분리에만 적용되어 왔으나, 올레핀과 파라핀 혼합물, 예를 들어, 프로필렌과 프로판의 분리, 부틸렌과 부탄의 분리 등의 경우에는 올레핀과 파라핀 분자의 크기와 물리적 성질이 매우 비슷하기 때문에 고전적인 고분자 분리막을 이용하여서는 충분한 분리 성능을 얻을 수 없었다.
이러한 고전적인 고분자 분리막을 이용하여 분자량이 비슷한 올레핀과 파라핀의 분리가 어려운 점에 대한 해결책으로써 촉진수송 개념이 도입되면서 올레핀과 파라핀의 분리에 고분자 분리막을 적용하기 위한 연구가 현재 활발히 이루어지고 있다.
분리하고자 하는 혼합물 중의 특정 성분과 가역적으로 반응할 수 있는 운반체(carrier)가 분리막에 존재하는 경우, 운반체와 혼합물 중의 특정 성분(예를 들어, 올레핀)과의 가역반응으로 인하여 물질 전달이 단순한 농도 구배에 의한 전달뿐만 아니라, 운반체에 의한 촉진수송(facilitated transport)도 함께 일어나게 되어 선택도 및 투과도가 함께 증가하게 된다.
이러한 촉진수송을 이용한 종래의 고분자 분리막의 예로서 운반체(carrier)로 은염, 예를 들어 AgBF4, AgNO3, AgCF3SO3 등을 담지시켜 만든 지지 또는 고정된 액막을 사용하는 방법에 대한 기술이 개시되어 있으나, 이러한 기술에서는 분리시간의 증가와 함께 은염의 활성도가 떨어지는 단점이 있다.
따라서, 은 나노입자의 물리화학적 활성을 이용하여 보다 더 뛰어난 운반체 역할을 활성화시킬 수 있는 올레핀 촉진수송 분리막, 특히 상업적으로 활용이 가능하도록 선택도 및 투과도를 동시에 만족하는 올레핀 촉진수송 분리막에 대한 개발이 절실히 필요한 실정이다.
따라서, 본 발명이 해결하고자 하는 과제는 보다 향상된 선택도와 투과도를 동시에 만족하는 올레핀 분리용 고분자 복합 박막 및 이를 이용한 올레핀 촉진수송 분리막을 제공하고자 한다.
특히, 선택도는 우수하지만 낮은 투과도를 갖는 종래 은 나노입자 함유 올레핀 촉진수송 분리막의 특성을 개선할 수 있는 높은 선택도를 가지면서도 투과도가 현저히 향상된 올레핀 분리용 고분자 복합박막 및 이를 이용한 올레핀 촉진수송 분리막을 제공하고자 한다.
본 발명은 상기 과제를 해결하기 위하여, 환원된 그래핀 옥사이드(reduced graphene oxide, rGO)가 분산된 고분자를 포함하는 올레핀 분리용 고분자 복합박막을 제공한다.
또한, 본 발명은 촉진수송 운반체 역할을 하는 은 나노입자와 이의 활성화를 돕는 유기화합물을 포함하는 올레핀 분리용 고분자 복합박막에 전기전도도가 우수한 그래핀 또는 환원된 그래핀 옥사이드(reduced graphene oxide, rGO)를 더 첨가하여 은 나노입자의 활성도를 보다 증가시키고, 투과도가 증가하더라도 선택도가 떨어지지 않는 것을 특징으로 하는 올레핀 분리용 고분자 복합박막을 제공한다.
즉, 본 발명에 따른 올레핀 분리용 고분자 복합박막은 은 나노입자 및 상기 은 나노입자가 분산되는 고분자를 포함하고, 상기 고분자에 분산되는 은 나노입자의 표면을 활성화시키는 유기 화합물 및 환원된 그래핀 옥사이드(reduced graphene oxide, rGO)를 더 포함하는 것을 특징으로 한다.
본 발명의 일 실시예에 의하면, 상기 고분자는 폴리비닐피로리돈(Polyvinylpyrrolidone, PVP), 폴리에틸렌 옥사이드(Polyethylene oxide, PEO), 폴리에틸렌글리콜(Polyethylene, PEG), 폴리다이메틸실록산(polydimethylsiloxane, PDMS), 폴리2-에틸-2-옥사졸린(Poly(2-ethyl-2-oxazoline), POZ), 폴리메틸메타크릴레이트(Polymethyl methacrylate, PMMA) 및 폴리에티르 블록 아미드(Polyether block amide, PEBA), 폴리에틸렌(Polyethylene), 폴리프로필렌(Polypropylene), 에틸렌프로필렌러버(Ethylene propylene rubber, EPR), 폴리부타디엔(Polybutadiene) 및 폴리이소프렌(polyisoprene) 중에서 선택될 수 있다.
본 발명의 일 실시예에 의하면, 상기 유기화합물은 테트라시아노퀴논디메탄(Tetracyanoquinodimethane, TCNQ), 테트라플로오루-테트라시아노퀴노디메탄(F4-Tetracyanoquinodimethane, F4-TCNQ), 디니트로벤젠(Dinitro benzene, DNB), 디니트로톨루엔(Dinitrotoluene, DNT), 파이로멜리토나이트릴(Pyromellitonitrile), 테트라시아노벤젠(Tetracyanobenzene, TCNB), 트리시아노벤젠(Tricyanobenzene), 벤조니트릴(Benzonitrile, BN), N,N'-다이페닐-1,4,5,8-나프틸테트라카르복실릭이미드(N,N'-diphenyl-1,4,5,8-naphthyltetra carboxilicimide, DPNTCI) 및 페릴렌테트라카르복실 무수화물(Perylene tetracarboxilic dianhydride, PTCDA) 중에서 선택될 수 있다.
본 발명의 일 실시예에 의하면, 상기 환원된 그래핀 옥사이드의 크기는 특별히 한정되지 않으나, 5 ㎚ 내지 90 ㎛일 수 있으며, 상기 환원된 그래핀 옥사이드는 상기 고분자의 구체적인 종류에 따라 상이하지만, 상기 고분자 기준 0.01 내지 5.0 중량% 첨가될 수 있다.
본 발명의 일 실시예에 의하면, 상기 은 나노입자의 크기는 1 내지 50 ㎚일 수 있다.
본 발명의 일 실시예에 의하면, 상기 유기 화합물은 상기 고분자의 반복 단위(repeating unit) 대비 0.01 내지 10 몰%로 첨가될 수 있다.
또한, 본 발명은 상기 과제를 해결하기 위하여, 상기 올레핀 분리용 고분자 복합박막을 분리층으로 포함하는 올레핀 촉진수송 고분자 분리막을 제공한다.
본 발명의 일 실시예에 의하면, 상기 올레핀 분리용 고분자 복합박막은 고분자 재질의 다공성 지지체, 금속 다공성 지지체 또는 세라믹 다공성 지지체에 코팅될 수 있다.
본 발명의 일 실시예에 의하면, 상기 올레핀 촉진 수송 고분자 분리막은 중공사막일 수 있다.
본 발명에 따른 그래핀 함유 올레핀 촉진수송 분리막은 그래핀이 아닌 카본 블랙 등의 탄소계 물질을 함유한 고분자 분리막이나, 그래핀을 함유하지 않은 금속 나노입자를 올레핀의 선택적인 촉진수송이 가능한 분리막에 비하여 보다 향상된 투과도를 가지며, 특히 상업적 적용이 가능한 선택도 특성을 가지면서 동시에 현저히 향상된 투과도를 가져 종래 증류 공정을 대체할 수 있는 분리막 시스템에 적용할 수 있다.

이하, 본 발명을 더욱 상세하게 설명한다.
본 발명은 전도도가 우수하고, 화학적 방법으로 저가로 대량 생산이 가능한 환원된 그래핀 옥사이드(reduced graphene oxide, rGO)가 분산된 올레핀 분리용 고분자 박막에 관한 것이다.
또한, 환원된 그래핀 옥사이드를 이용하여 은 나노입자의 올레핀 촉진 수송 능력을 극대화시켜서 분리막의 투과도 성능을 종래 기술에 비하여 현저히 향상시킨 것을 특징으로 하는 올레핀 분리용 고분자 복합박막 및 이를 이용한 그래핀 함유 올레핀 촉진수송 분리막에 관한 것이다.
본 발명에 따른 그래핀 함유 올레핀 분리용 고분자 복합박막은 은 나노입자 및 상기 은 나노입자가 분산되는 고분자를 포함하고, 상기 고분자에 분산되는 은 나노입자의 표면을 활성화시키기 위한 유기 화합물 및 환원된 그래핀 옥사이드(reduced graphene oxide, rGO)를 더 포함한다.
종래 은 나노입자 등의 금속 나노입자와 유기 화합물을 포함하는 올레핀 촉진 수송 고분자 분리막은 선택도가 매우 높지만 낮은 투과도를 보였으나, 본 발명에 따른 올레핀 분리용 고분자 복합박막을 이용한 올레핀 촉진 수송 고분자 분리막은 환원된 그래핀 옥사이드를 더 포함함으로써, 선택도는 동일하게 유지되면서 투과도가 현저히 상승되는 것을 특징으로 한다.
즉, 본 발명에 따른 올레핀 분리용 고분자 복합박막은 전기전도도가 우수한 그래핀을 첨가하여 올레핀의 운반체인 은 나노입자의 활성도를 증가시켜 투과도를 증가시킨 것을 특징으로 하고, 동시에 선택도 수준은 종래 그래핀을 함유하지 않은 분리막과 동등하게 유지하는 것을 특징으로 한다.
본 발명에 따른 올레핀 분리용 고분자 복합박막은 올레핀의 운반체(carrier) 역할로 은 나노입자를 이용하고, 상기 은 나노입자의 활성을 극대화시키기 위한 양이온화 수단으로써, 유기화합물을 전자수용체(electron acceptor)로 사용한다.
상기 유기화합물은 특별히 제한되는 것은 아니나, 바람직한 일 실시예에 의하면, 테트라시아노퀴논디메탄(Tetracyanoquinodimethane, TCNQ), 테트라플로오루-테트라시아노퀴노디메탄(F4-Tetracyanoquinodimethane, F4-TCNQ), 디니트로벤젠(Dinitro benzene, DNB), 디니트로톨루엔(Dinitrotoluene, DNT), 파이로멜리토나이트릴(Pyromellitonitrile), 테트라시아노벤젠(Tetracyanobenzene, TCNB), 트리시아노벤젠(Tricyanobenzene), 벤조니트릴(Benzonitrile, BN), N,N'-다이페닐-1,4,5,8-나프틸테트라카르복실릭이미드(N,N'-diphenyl-1,4,5,8-naphthyltetracarboxilicimide, DPNTCI) 및 페릴렌테트라카르복실 무수화물(Perylene tetracarboxilic dianhydride, PTCDA) 중에서 선택될 수 있다.
또한, 본 발명의 바람직한 구현예에 의하면, 상기 고분자는 지지층(support)에 코팅이 이루어질 정도의 점도를 보이는 것을 특징으로 하는 폴리비닐피로리돈(Polyvinylpyrrolidone, PVP), 폴리에틸렌 옥사이드(Polyethylene oxide, PEO), 폴리에틸렌 글리콜(Polyethylene, PEG), 폴리다이메틸실록산(poly dimethylsiloxane, PDMS), 폴리2-에틸-2-옥사졸린(Poly(2-ethyl-2-oxazoline), POZ), 폴리메틸 메타크리레이트(Polymethyl methacrylate, PMMA) 및 폴리에티르 블록 아미드(Polyether block amide, PEBA), 폴리에틸렌(Polyethylene), 폴리프로필렌(Polypropylene), 에틸렌프로필렌러버(Ethylene propylene rubber, EPR), 폴리부타디엔(Polybutadiene) 및 폴리이소프렌(polyisoprene) 중에서 선택되는 어느 하나일 수 있고, 바람직하게는 폴리비닐피로리돈 또는 폴리다이메틸실록산일 수 있다.
또한, 상기 고분자 매트릭스는 나노입자가 분산되어 고분자 분리막을 형성할 수 있는 물질이면 적용이 가능하므로, 상기 고분자 이외에도 다음과 같은 고분자 등을 이용할 수 있다.

본 발명에 따른 올레핀 분리용 고분자 복합박막은 올레핀의 운반체인 은 나노입자의 양이온 활성화를 최대로 향상시키기 위하여 강력한 전자 수용체 성질을 갖는 유기화합물을 포함함과 동시에 전도도가 우수한 환원된 그래핀 옥사이드(reduced graphene oxide, rGO)를 더 포함하는 것을 특징으로 한다.
CVD(Chemial Vapor Deposition) 방법을 이용하여 순수한 그래핀을 합성할 수 있지만, 고가의 장비를 이용하여 대량생산 어려운 문제가 있어, 본 발명의 일 실시예에서는 흑연(Graphite flake)을 산을 이용하여 그라파이트 표면을 산화, 박리 및 재환원하는 산화환원 방법으로 제조된 것을 특징으로 하고, 보다 구체적으로 황산, 과망간산칼륨 또는 이의 혼합용액을 이용하여 흑연 내 각 층의 표면이 산화되어 그래핀 옥사이드를 제조한 다음에 히드라진(hydrazine) 등의 환원제를 이용하여 표면을 환원시켜서 제조한 환원된 그래핀 옥사이드를 사용한다.
또한, 상기 환원된 그래핀 옥사이드는 상기 고분자의 종류에 따라 상이하지만, 폴리비닐피롤리돈 기준 0.01 내지 0.50 중량% 첨가될 수 있고, 바람직한 선택도 및 향상된 투과도를 만족하기 위해서는 0.4 내지 0.6 중량% 첨가될 수 있다. 또한, 폴리다이메틸실록산 기준 0.5 내지 5.0 중량%일 수 있다.
또한, 상기 유기 화합물은 상기 고분자의 반복 단위(repeating unit) 대비 0.01 내지 10 몰%로 첨가할 수 있으며, 환원된 그래핀 옥사이드를 더 포함하면서, 고분자 반복 단위 대비 상기 몰%로 유기 화합물을 첨가한 경우에 투과도가 향상됨을 확인하였다.
또한, 본 발명의 다른 측면은 상기 올레핀 분리용 고분자 복합박막을 분리층으로 하고, 이를 폴리설폰 또는 폴리에스테르 고분자 재질의 다공성 지지체, 금속 다공성 지지체 및 세라믹 다공성 지지체 중에서 선택되는 어느 하나의 다공성 지지체 등에 코팅한 그래핀 함유 올레핀 촉진수송 분리막에 관한 것으로서, 평판막 또는 중공사막일 수 있다.
이하, 바람직한 실시예를 들어 본 발명을 더욱 상세하게 설명한다. 그러나, 이들 실시예는 본 발명을 보다 구체적으로 설명하기 위한 것으로, 본 발명의 범위가 이에 의하여 제한되지 않고, 본 발명의 범주 및 기술사상 범위 내에서 다양한 변경 및 수정이 가능함은 당업계의 통상의 지식을 가진 자에게 자명할 것이다.
실시예
1
(1) 환원된 그래핀 옥사이드의 제조
환원된 그래핀 옥사이드는 그라파이트를 산화시켜 겹겹을 박리한 후에, 박리된 그래핀 옥사이드 표면을 재환원시킴으로써 제조하였다. 그라파이트는 시그마-알드리치에서 구입하여 실험하였다.
먼저, 그래핀옥사이드는 Hummer & Offeman의 방법으로 제조하였다. 그라파이트 1 g을 얼음 수조에 담긴 98% 황산 23 mL에 넣었다. 20 ℃ 이하의 온도를 유지하면서 KMnO4 3 g을 조금씩 나누어 넣었다. 이후, 온도를 35 ℃를 유지하며 30 분 동안 교반하고, 증류수 46 mL를 천천히 떨어뜨려 넣고 온도를 98 ℃에서 20분 유지하였다. 다시 140 mL의 증류수를 서서히 추가하고 뒤이어 30% H2O2 10 mL를 넣고 20분 유지하였다. 5% HCl 용액을 추가하여 원심분리기를 이용하여 황산이온(sulfate ion)을 제거하고 증류수와 원심분리기를 이용하여 염소이온(chloride ion)을 씻어내었다. 증류수를 이용하여 5번 씻고 마지막으로 아세톤으로 씻어 수분을 제거한 뒤 65 ℃ 오븐에서 24 시간 동안 건조하였다. 이 가루를 다시 증류수에 분산시킨 후 3시간 초음파처리(ultrasonication)하여 박리시켜서 붉은 황색의 그래핀옥사이드 용액을 얻었다.
(2) 다음으로 그래핀 옥사이드 100 mg을 100 mL 증류수에 재분산하고 하이드라진 수화물(hydrazine hydrate) 1 mL을 넣고 오일수조에서 100 ℃의 열을 24 시간 동안 가하였다. 검게 변한 고체들이 바닥에 가라앉는데 이 가루를 유리 깔때기(glass funnel)을 이용하여 필터하고 증류수 100 mL를 이용하여 5번, 메탄올 100 mL을 이용하여 5번 세척하였다. 마지막으로 가루에 공기를 계속 불어주며 건조시켜 환원된 그래핀 옥사이드를 제조하였다.
상기 본 발명의 제조예 1에 따라 가격이 저렴하고 대량생산이 가능한 그라파이트 플레이크(graphite flake)를 이용하여 제조된 환원된 그래핀 옥사이드에 대한 TEM 이미지 및 라만 스펙트럼을 각각 하기 도 1 및 도 2에 나타내었다.
(2) 은 나노입자를 포함하는 환원된 그래핀 옥사이드의 제조
폴리비닐피롤리돈(PVP) 고분자와, 상기 고분자 대비 0.2 중량%의 환원된 그래핀 옥사이드를 넣고, AgBF4를 고분자의 반복단위(repeating unit) 대비 1 : 1 몰비로 넣고 에탄올 20 mL를 넣은 후에 75 ℃에서 24 시간 동안 교반하여 환원된 그래핀 옥사이드에 은 나노입자를 성장시켰다.
상기 본 발명의 제조예 2에 따라 제조된 은 나노입자를 포함하는 환원된 그래핀 옥사이드에 대한 TEM 이미지를 하기 도 3에 나타내었다. 하기 도 3에서 확인할 수 있는 바와 같이, 10 내지 20 ㎚ 크기의 균일한 은 나노입자가 합성되었음을 알 수 있다.
(3) 은 나노입자의 활성화 및 올레핀 분리막의 제조
먼저, 상기 제조예 2에 따라 제조된 은 나노입자/환원된 그래핀 옥사이드 용액에 고분자의 반복단위(repeating unit) 대비 1 : 0.01 몰%로 TCNQ(7,7,8,8-Tetracyanoquinodimethane)를 추가하고 60 ℃에서 12시간 교반하여 환원된 그래핀 옥사이드의 은 나노입자를 활성화시켰다. 이후, 용액을 가열하여 에탄올을 증발시키면서 용액의 고형분(solid content)이 전체 용액대비 50 %가 되도록 하였다.
상기와 같이 활성화된 은 나노입자를 포함하는 환원된 그래핀 옥사이드 고분자 용액을 폴리설폰 거대기공(macro-porous) 고분자 지지체(웅진케미칼, 서울, 대한민국)상에 RK coater(Model 101, Control Coater RK Print-Coat Instruments Ltd. UK)를 이용하여 제막하였다. 제막 후, 고분자 용액 중의 용매인 에탄올은 25 ℃에서 3 시간 이상에서 수 일 동안 건조하였다.

상기 실시예 1-(2)에서 환원된 그래핀옥사이드를 0.2 중량% 대신에 각각 0.4, 0.6, 0.8 중량%로 넣은 것을 제외하고는 실시예 1과 동일한 방법으로 분리막을 제조하였다.

상기 실시예 1-(2)에서 폴리비닐피롤리돈(PVP) 고분자 대신에 폴리다이메틸실록산(PDMS)을 사용한 것을 제외하고는 실시예 1과 동일한 방법으로 분리막을 제조하였다.

상기 실시예 5에서 환원된 그래핀옥사이드를 0.2 중량% 대신에 각각 0.4, 0.6, 0.8 중량%로 넣은 것을 제외하고는 실시예 5와 동일한 방법으로 분리막을 제조하였다.

상기 실시예 1과 같은 방법으로 제조하되, 폴리비닐피롤리돈(PVP) 고분자에 은 나노입자 및 TCNQ의 첨가 없이, 환원된 그래핀 옥사이드만을 1, 3, 5, 10 중량% 첨가하여 환원된 그래핀옥사이드가 분산된 고분자를 분리층으로 이용한 분리막을 제조하였다.
비교예

상기 실시예 1-(2)에서 환원된 그래핀 옥사이드를 넣지 않은 것을 제외하고는 실시예 1과 동일한 방법으로 분리막을 제조하였다.

상기 실시예 5에서 환원된 그래핀 옥사이드를 넣지 않은 것을 제외하고는 실시예 1과 동일한 방법으로 분리막을 제조하였다.

실시예 9 내지 12에서 환원된 그래핀옥사이드 대신 카본블랙을 1, 3, 5, 10 중량%으로 분산시킨 것을 제외하고는 동일한 방법으로 분리막을 제조하였다.
실험예 1. 분리막 성능 실험
상기 실시예 및 비교예에 따른 분리막의 성능 실험을 수행하였다. 분자량이 비슷한 올레핀과 파라핀의 예로 프로필렌과 프로판 가스의 개별적인 투과성능 및 혼합가스의 투과성능을 측정하였다.
투과도에 대한 테스트는 질량흐름측정기(mass flow meter, MFM)을 이용하여 측정하였다. 가스투과도(gas permeance)의 단위는 GPU(1 GPU = 1 × 10-6 ㎤(STP)/(㎠ sec cmHg)이며, 프로필렌과 프로판의 혼합가스의 경우 MFM만으로는 각 성분별 투과도의 측정이 불가능하므로, MFM과 함께 가스크로마토그라피를 이용하여 프로필렌과 프로판의 투과도를 측정하였다. 사용된 가스크로마토그라피는 TCD 디텍터와 unibead 2S 60/80 팩킹칼럼을 장착한 가스크로마토그라피(휴렛팩커드사社 G1530A)를 사용하였다.
하기 도 4는 실시예 1 내지 4 및 비교예 1에 따른 분리막에 대하여 프로필렌과 프로판 각 개별적인 순수 가스의 투과성능 측정결과이며, 하기 도 5는 실시예 1 내지 4 및 비교예 1에 따른 분리막에 대하여 프로필렌과 프로판의 혼합 가스에 대한 총투과도 및 선택도에 대한 측정결과이다.
또한, PVP 대비 첨가되는 환원된 그래핀 옥사이드의 중양%에 따른 프로필렌과 프로판의 혼합가스 투과도 및 선택도를 하기 [표 1]에 나타내었다.

또한, 하기 도 6은 실시예 5 내지 8 및 비교예 2에 따른 분리막에 대하여 프로필렌과 프로판의 혼합 가스에 대한 총투과도 및 선택도에 대한 측정결과이다.
또한, PDMS 대비 첨가되는 환원된 그래핀 옥사이드의 중양%에 따른 프로필렌과 프로판의 혼합가스 투과도 및 선택도를 하기 [표 2]에 나타내었다.

상기 [표 1] 및 하기 도 5에서 보는 바와 같이, 환원된 그래핀 옥사이드를 첨가하지 않은 은 나노입자 이용한 폴리비닐피롤리돈 고분자 분리막의 경우 투과도가 매우 낮음을 알 수 있고, 은 나노입자를 이용한 고분자 분리막에 추가로 환원된 그래핀 옥사이드를 더 도입함으로써 상업적인 분리선택도를 만족하는 범위에서 투과도가 최대 11 GPU까지 증가한 것을 알 수 있다. 이는 상업성을 고려하여 혼합기체 분리선택도를 감안한 상태에서 투과도가 기존 대비 약 5 배 이상 정도 향상된 것으로 판단할 수 있다.
또한, 고분자를 폴리비닐피롤리돈(PVP)이 아닌 폴리다이메틸실록산 (PDMS)으로 사용한 경우에도 그래핀 옥사이드가 들어가지 않은 분리막의 성능보다 그래핀 옥사이드를 포함한 분리막의 선택도와 투과도 모두 증가하여 분리막의 투과/선택 성능이 향상된 것을 확인할 수 있다.
또한, 하기 [표 3]에 실시예 9 내지 12에 따라 제조된 환원된 그래핀옥사이드가 분산된 고분자(폴리비닐피로리돈)를 이용한 분리막에 대한 프로필렌 투과도, 프로판 투과도 및 혼합기체 선택도를 나타내었다.

상기 [표 3]에서 보는 바와 같이, 이상적으로 만들어진 그래핀의 경우 기체가 투과할 수 없는 배리어(barrier) 특성을 가지는데, 결함이 많고 조각의 크기가 작은(수백 ㎛ 이하) 그래핀(환원된 그래핀 옥사이드)을 고분자에 분산시켜 만든 복합막의 경우는에는 기체의 투과가 가능함을 알 수 있다.
특히, 순수한 고분자만을 이용하여 만든 분리막에 비해 환원된 그래핀 옥사이드를 첨가한 고분자 복합막의 경우 프로필렌, 프로판의 투과도가 증가하는 것을 알 수 있다. 또한 환원된 그래핀 옥사이드의 고리 화합물(ring compound)이 가지고 있는 단일-이중 결합이 컨쥬게이션(conjugation)된 부분과 프로필렌이 가지고 있는 이중결합과 상호작용하여 환원된 그래핀 옥사이드(rGO)가 PVP 고분자 대비 3 wt.% 첨가된 막의 경우에 비하여 프로필렌이 프로판보다 약 3배 이상 빠르게 투과되는 것을 알 수 있다.
또한, 하기 [표 4]에는 비교예 3에 따라 카본블랙이 분산된 고분자(폴리비닐피로리돈)를 이용한 분리막에 대한 프로필렌 투과도, 프로판 투과도 및 혼합기체 선택도를 나타내었다.

상기 [표 4]에서 보는 바와 같이, 카본 블랙을 첨가하여 분산한 고분자 분리막의 경우에도 프로필렌, 프로판의 투과도가 증가하는 경향을 보이지만 투과되는 정도에 있어서 rGO를 첨가한 경우보다 낮은 것을 알 수 있다. 더불어 프로필렌/프로판의 분리특성은 거의 없는 것을 알 수 있다.
Claims (9)
- 환원된 그래핀 옥사이드(reduced graphene oxide, rGO)가 분산된 고분자를 포함하고,
상기 고분자는 은 나노입자가 더 분산되어 있으며, 상기 은 나노입자는 유기화합물에 의해서 표면이 활성화된 것을 특징으로 하고,
상기 환원된 그래핀 옥사이드는 상기 고분자 기준 0.01 내지 5.0 중량% 첨가된 것을 특징으로 하는 올레핀 분리용 고분자 복합박막. - 삭제
- 제1항에 있어서,
상기 고분자는 폴리비닐피로리돈(Polyvinylpyrrolidone, PVP), 폴리에틸렌 옥사이드(Polyethylene oxide, PEO), 폴리에틸렌 글리콜(Polyethylene, PEG), 폴리다이메틸실록산(polydimethylsiloxane, PDMS), 폴리2-에틸-2-옥사졸린(Poly(2-ethyl-2-oxazoline), POZ), 폴리메틸 메타크리레이트(Polymethyl methacrylate, PMMA) 및 폴리에티르 블록 아미드(Polyether block amide, PEBA), 폴리에틸렌(Polyethylene), 폴리프로필렌(Polypropylene), 에틸렌프로필렌러버(Ethylene propylene rubber, EPR), 폴리부타디엔(Polybutadiene) 및 폴리이소프렌(polyisoprene) 중에서 선택되는 것을 특징으로 하는 올레핀 분리용 고분자 복합박막. - 제1항에 있어서,
상기 유기화합물은 테트라시아노퀴논디메탄(Tetracyanoquinodimethane, TCNQ), 테트라플로오루-테트라시아노퀴노디메탄(F4-Tetracyanoquinodimethane, F4-TCNQ), 디니트로벤젠(Dinitrobenzene, DNB), 디니트로톨루엔(Dinitrotoluene, DNT), 파이로멜리토나이트릴(Pyromellitonitrile), 테트라시아노벤젠(Tetracyano benzene, TCNB), 트리시아노벤젠 (Tricyanobenzene), 벤조니트릴(Benzonitrile, BN), N,N'-다이페닐-1,4,5,8-나프틸테트라카르복실릭이미드(N,N'-diphenyl-1,4,5,8- naphthyltetracarboxilicimide, DPNTCI) 및 페릴렌테트라카르복실 무수화물(Perylene tetracarboxilic dianhydride, PTCDA) 중에서 선택되는 것을 특징으로 하는 올레핀 분리용 고분자 복합박막. - 삭제

상기 은 나노입자의 크기는 1 내지 50 ㎚인 것을 특징으로 하는 올레핀 분리용 고분자 복합박막. - 제1항에 있어서,
상기 유기 화합물은 상기 고분자의 반복 단위(repeating unit) 대비 0.01 내지 10 몰%로 첨가된 것을 특징으로 하는 올레핀 분리용 고분자 복합박막. - 제1항, 제3항 내지 제4항 및 제6항 내지 제7항 중 어느 한 항에 따른 올레핀 분리용 고분자 복합박막을 분리층으로 포함하고,
상기 올레핀 분리용 고분자 복합박막이 고분자 재질의 다공성 지지체, 금속 다공성 지지체 또는 세라믹 다공성 지지체에 코팅된 것을 특징으로 하는 올레핀 촉진수송 고분자 분리막. - 제8항에 있어서,
