Claims (6)
- 비디오 인코더가 복수의 영상 프레임을 소정 크기의 블록으로 분할하는 과정;
이전에 검색된 프레임에 대해 율-왜곡(RD) 코스트를 계산하는 과정; 및
상기 계산된 코스트를 이용하여 검색될 대상 픽셀의 수를 줄이는 과정을 포함하고,
상기 이전에 검색된 프레임에 대해 율-왜곡(RD) 코스트를 계산하는 과정은,
이전 프레임의 움직임 추정(ME)을 수행하는 과정; 및
상기 움직임 추정(ME)에 기초하여 현재 프레임의 움직임 추정(ME)에 사용될 부등호 제약 조건을 도출하는 과정을 포함하되,
다중 참조 프레임 움직임 추정(MRFME)은 미리 정의된 상기 부등호 제약 조건을 점차적으로 증가시키는 과정을 포함하는, 움직임 추정 방법. - 삭제

- 제1항에 있어서, 상기 이전에 검색된 프레임에 대해 율-왜곡 코스트를 계산하는 과정은,
적어도 하나의 이전 픽처를 참조하여 현재 블록을 예측함으로써 예측 블록을 생성하고 현재 블록과의 차분값을 부호화하는 인터 예측 부호화(inter prediction coding)를 사용하여 부호화되는 인터 블록에 대응하는 참조 프레임에 대해 율-왜곡 코스트를 계산하는, 움직임 추정 방법. - 제1항에 있어서, 상기 이전에 검색된 프레임에 대해 율-왜곡 코스트를 계산하는 과정은,
움직임 벡터(MV)가 제로 위치(0, 0)인 검색 윈도우 중심으로부터 나선형 검색(spiral search)으로서 픽셀 대 픽셀로 검색 위치를 이동하는, 움직임 추정 방법.
