Description
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION 1. Field of the Invention [0001] The present invention relates to a water purifier capable of providing water at low cost suitable for their area and water use to those lacking safe water in remote or polluted environments.
Water present in the natural environment may contain harmful chemicals and various types of contaminants such as bacteria, parasites, cysts, and viruses. Ingestion of water containing these contaminants can result in death from exposure to various waterborne infectious diseases such as cholera, bacterial dysentery, typhoid fever, and any harmful contaminants must be removed from the water before they are suitable for safe consumption by humans. The consequences associated with exposure to contaminated water are very serious, especially in poor countries where safe water is not always available and can even be killed by contaminated water.
According to UNICEF, more than 1.2 billion people have access to safe drinking water from 1990 to 2004, but more than 1 billion people still do not have access to safe drinking water. The number of children under the age of 18 who do not have safe drinking water is approximately 425 million, with large numbers of people living without safe water in rural areas of Africa and in unlicensed slums in large cities in developing countries. Contaminated water and unsanitary conditions cause many illnesses in children, and children who drink contaminated water are susceptible to diarrhea and in many cases lose their lives due to dehydration from frequent diarrhea. Dehydration from polluted water kills 5,000 children a day.
In general, a water purifier refers to a mechanism for purifying water by filtering out various foreign substances contained in water. Recently, environmental pollution has become serious and awareness of health has been heightening interest in water purifiers. In particular, various portable water purifiers have been developed and distributed in order to supply safe water to people living in underdeveloped countries where water resources are polluted, and travelers, volunteers, and missionaries who travel there.
There are various water purification technologies to make water that can be safely consumed by humans. The well-known water purification technologies include biological methods, chemical methods, and water filtration.
Specifically, biological methods using microorganisms, chemical methods using chemical reactions, electrolysis methods using electrons or ultrasonic waves, and physical methods using filters are mainly used.
Biological methods using microorganisms are used in many countries internationally to decompose contaminants by microorganisms, but due to the limitation of effective concentration in the digestive substances of microorganisms, the treatment is insufficient in high concentrations of dirt. In case of alkaline or acidic waste water, pretreatment is required, and the construction area is expensive because it requires a large installation area as well as being affected by the environment such as time and temperature.
While the chemical treatment method has the advantage of fast reaction speed and simple process, even if it is difficult to decompose organic matters by biological treatment, it requires too much installation and maintenance cost to treat wastewater by itself. There was a drawback of being used only.
Physical methods using electrons or ultrasonics are applied to the process of decomposing hardly decomposable substances such as benzene compounds and halogen compounds that are difficult to process biologically or chemically, but they are not widely used because they are insignificant compared to enormous facility and maintenance costs. There was a downside.
Using a filter has the advantage of being easy to carry or move. 1 is a view of a canwood simple water purifier 100 according to the prior art. The canwood simple water purifier uses a natural filtration water purification method to form integrally four water purification materials in one frame. The first step is to effectively filter out rust, dust, sand, etc. in the water with a foreign
As described above, a general portable or portable water purifier has a structure in which it is difficult to change the purified material as necessary by providing a plurality of purified materials in one frame. However, the required water purification function may be different depending on the region or time of using the water purifier, and the degree of purified water required differs according to the use of water such as drinking water and face washing. There is no problem. If the water purifier is used for a long time, impurities, bacteria, or the like may be trapped in the filter or they may be cultured in the filter, thereby degrading the function of the filter. In this case, the existing water purifier is difficult to clean the filter, and must be replaced with a new filter, but there is a problem that the cost is incurred to replace the new filter and the burden can be a burden for the poor people in the backcountry. That is, there is a problem that a cost is required for maintenance of the filter.

In order to achieve this object, the water purifier of the present invention includes: an
As described above, the water purifier according to the present invention provides the following effects.
First, the filter may be configured by a combination of a plurality of filter units, so that the minimum filter unit may purify the water required by the combination as necessary in consideration of the condition of the water to be purified or the purpose of using the water.
Second, the length of the filter unit is shorter than that of a conventional filter to facilitate cleaning or drying, thereby extending the life of the filter.
Third, by viewing the filter function (object to be removed, etc.) of the filter unit indicated on the display unit of each filter unit, the general public can easily select and assemble the required filter units as needed.

Fifth, by measuring the water quality of the purified water and notifying the filter unit to be replaced, it is possible to replace the relevant filter unit to maintain the quality of the purified water to a certain level or more.

It should be understood that there may be water and variations.
The water purifier of the present invention has a structure capable of coupling a plurality of
In Bangladesh and India, for example, water is high in arsenic. In Bangladesh, in particular, 85 million of the 125 million people live on arsenic-contaminated drinking water. Arsenic has no smell or taste, making it difficult for people to identify the five senses of contamination. The toxic effects of arsenic cause symptoms such as perception disorders, anemia and cramps, and the skin turns black, and the skin, such as the chest, back, and limbs, discolors at the beginning, and the site of the tongue, lips, etc. Is enlarged, accompanied by pain. In order to purify water contaminated with such arsenic, a filter of iron oxide and aluminum oxide may be used.
In another example, in October 2010, a heavy metal sludge pool, a kind of industrial waste, exploded at an aluminum plant in Hungary, which is at risk of flowing into the Donau and Danube rivers, which could lead to drinking water problems throughout Europe. In this case, a water purifier with the function of removing heavy metals should be used. In particular, filters of activated carbon comprising an alkaline earth metal layer are useful for removing heavy metal ions.
If the water contains bacteria or microorganisms such as heterogeneous bacteria, Salmonella, enterococci, Staphylococcus aureus and Escherichia coli, use a filter unit containing iodine-releasing resin or nanometer-sized pupils that bacteria, microorganisms and viruses cannot pass through. Filter unit consisting of a membrane or a hollow fiber membrane may be used. Tuberculosis Bacteria, a small microorganism, is about 200 nanometers thick and polio virus, a small virus, has a diameter of about 25 nanometers. Therefore, the hollow fiber membrane filter, which generally passes 15 nanometers, can filter out bacteria, microorganisms, and viruses from water.
Haiti was hit by a magnitude 7.0 earthquake in January 2010, and many of them were at risk of cholera by eating contaminated water and food in poor sanitation conditions. According to the Haitian Ministry of Health, 3,342 confirmed cases of cholera have been identified as of October 21, 2010, of which 259 have been killed. According to the United Nations, 99 people got cholera in late July-September in Pakistan, when heavy rain swept through the summer of 2010. In Nigeria, 38,173 people got cholera since January, killing 1,555 people. done. Cholera is usually orally infected through contaminated drinking water, food, fruits and vegetables, especially fish and shellfish caught offshore, and colonization can occur through contaminated food provided when a large number of people gather, such as funerals. The cholera bacteria excreted in the patient's vomiting or feces are orally infected. In general, the cholera bacteria are 0.3 to 3 microns in size, so if you filter with a smaller pore size, you can drink safe water to remove cholera bacteria.
And in the backcountry, there may be a case where medical alkaline ionized water is needed. As shown in Korean Patent Application Publication No. 2010-12968, water is purified by a filter using a mineral material which is a mixture of magnesium, ganbanite, tourmaline and activated carbon. Alkaline ionized water having (hydrogen ion concentration) can be produced. Preferably, since the body is weakly alkaline at pH 7.2-7.5, it is good to take alkaline ionized water at pH 7.2-7.5. On the other hand, the pH range is generally pH 1 ~ 14. In the Water Environment Law, neutrality is defined as pH 5.8 ~ 8.6, pH 8.7 ~ 14 shows alkali, pH below 5.8, and water outside pH 5.8 ~ 8.6 may be contaminated water. This is high.
Each
Thus, for example, in Bangladesh, if the naked eye looks clean and free of impurities, but is suspected of arsenic-contaminated water, a filter unit containing iron oxide and aluminum oxide that can remove arsenic is part of the filter to reduce the risk of arsenic. Can be.
Of course, Haiti, where cholera occurs, uses a filter unit of a fiber membrane that can remove cholera bacteria, but unlike Bangladesh, if there is little arsenic in the surface water, there is no need to use a filter unit containing iron oxide and aluminum oxide.
And all the water used should be purified clean enough to be safe to eat, but in order to clean it using a number of filter units, the filter unit is used to purify a lot of water can be exposed to contamination for a long time and many filter units There is a problem in that it takes more time for integers. Therefore, it is possible to combine the necessary filter unit according to the use of the water, such as drinking water, medical treatment, face wash, etc. can be used for water purification.
If the filter is used for a long time, foreign matter may accumulate on the filter or microorganisms or viruses may be active. Therefore, it is common to replace the filter after a certain period of use. Exchanges, however, cost money and are a great economic burden for the poor. Therefore, the present invention allows the filter to be easily cleaned to allow the filter to function for a longer period of time. First of all, the conventional filter fills a large number of substances for clean water in one mold, so that the thickness of the filter is quite thick. Therefore, it was difficult to remove foreign substances easily by flowing water or blowing air in the opposite direction to water purification. According to the present invention, since the filter is constituted by a combination of a plurality of filter units, each filter unit is thinner than the entire filter, so that cleaning can be performed more easily than conventional filters. That is, since the filter unit of the present invention is thinner than the conventional filter, it is possible to easily pass water or air through pressure through the filter unit to easily remove impurities and the like in the filter unit.
In addition, if the length of the filter from the water input to the output is long, it can be a good environment for the growth of microorganisms and bacteria due to the presence of moisture inside, but the length of the filter unit is short and the filter unit can be easily disassembled from the filter and dried in the sun. There is an advantage.

Therefore, the water purifier of the present invention can be easily installed without limitation in the shape of the container containing water.
The present invention includes a
Therefore, the user can replace the relevant filter unit or clean the relevant filter unit according to the indication of the water quality meter and use it again.
