Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to a remote control having a switchable icon display module, and more particularly, to a remote control having a switchable icon display module capable of selectively displaying various icons on a screen.
Electronic devices such as televisions, home theaters, and DVD players have a remote controller for controlling the device remotely. In recent years, as these devices are advanced and various functions thereof, a remote controller for controlling them is equipped with many buttons for controlling various functions as well as channel selection and volume control functions.
However, the button-type remote control is visually complicated because it has many buttons such as a plurality of character keys, numeric keys, and various function keys. In addition, the keys are not only difficult to operate, but also have a large volume problem as the number of buttons increases.
In this regard, recently, touch-type remote controllers have been proposed to selectively display various icons on a screen instead of mechanically pressing a button to allow a user to operate them. However, since the remote control uses an expensive display device such as an LCD and a touch screen for displaying and manipulating icons, the remote control is not only expensive but also has high power consumption, and thus has low utility value.
The present invention has been made in view of the above points, and an object of the present invention is to control various functions by selectively displaying various icons through screen switching without employing an expensive display device such as an LCD. It is to provide a remote control having a switchable icon display module.
Another object of the present invention is to control the various functions by displaying different icons through the screen switching, while simplifying the configuration, it is possible to reduce the size, and to reduce the manufacturing cost or power consumption to the conventional button-type remote control level To provide a remote control with a switchable icon display module that can be maintained.
The remote control according to the present invention for achieving the above object is a housing having an opening formed in the front surface, a circuit board installed in the housing, the circuit board is installed on the circuit board and the front surface is exposed through the opening of the housing and the screen A switchable icon display module to be switched, a wireless transmitter installed in the housing and transmitting a wireless signal to an electronic device, a control device for controlling a user's operation signal to be transmitted to the wireless transmitter, and a power supply within the housing.
