Description
The present invention relates to a torque sensor for detecting an amount of torque generated from an input shaft connected to a steering wheel side of a vehicle. More particularly, the torque amount transmitted from an input shaft to which a handle is connected is provided to the detecting means through an improved differential gear unit. The present invention relates to a torque sensor using a differential gear that transmits the torque amount of the input side inputted to the detection means to the steering wheel side through the driving means and makes it easy to apply and replace the existing detection means.
In general, the steering wheel of the vehicle is connected to adjust the traveling angle of the wheel that is rotated in contact with the road surface when stopped or driving. At this time, since the weight of the vehicle is applied to the wheels, a large force is required to rotate the wheels through the steering wheel. To solve this problem, an electronically controlled power steering system is installed in the steering system. When the driver rotates the steering wheel, the driver detects the amount of torque generated between the steering wheel and the wheel, and then adjusts the torque required to rotate the wheel by the steering system. It is configured to handle the handle conveniently with little force.
The electronic control system (EPS-Electronic Power Steering) is a situation that is not widely used even if there is a fuel saving advantage compared to the hydraulic pressure to operate the oil pump because the cost of the initial purchase is large. In addition, since a torsion bar for generating torque is required, the device becomes larger.
In addition, a sensor for measuring torque generated from a steering wheel of a conventional vehicle is classified into a contact type and a non-contact type, and a contact type uses a strain gauge or a potentiometer, and a non-contact type uses an induction coil, a magnetic transformer, an optical sensor, and a magnetic sensor. I use it.
In the conventional contact steering torque sensor as described above, when the input shaft is rotated by the torque applied to the input shaft, distortion occurs in the torsion bar in response to the load of the steering system, and such distortion is caused by a gear mechanism such as a sun gear or a planetary gear. This linear displacement is converted, and the displacement is converted into an electrical signal in the potentiometer to detect the linear displacement mechanism for this. Therefore, the torque sensor is bulky in addition to the difficult processing of the mechanical structure, the number of parts required, the torque detection unit is enlarged, and the maintenance and mounting is difficult.
In addition, the conventional non-contact steering torque sensors have a problem in that it is difficult to reduce the weight due to the large volume of the structure of the magnetic body, shielding is necessary because of the large influence of the electromagnetic induction, and the volume and weight increase. In addition, there are disadvantages in that the signal processing circuit is complicated and the manufacturing cost is expensive, and partial repair is difficult and the whole must be replaced.
Accordingly, the present invention is to solve the above-described problems, the object of the present invention to accurately transmit the torque amount of the input shaft through the improved differential gear portion to the detection unit, and the rotation angle or rotational force transmitted to the detection unit Torque sensor using a differential gear that easily detects the torque on the input side and transmits it to the steering wheel through the driving means to control it easily, and makes it easy to apply and replace the existing detection means. In providing.

Next, the assembly and operation of the torque sensor using the differential gear will be described in detail.
2 and 3, first, the
Next, the
Next, the operating
Next, when the
The torque sensor of the present invention configured as described above is operated by rotation of the
In contrast to the above process, as shown in FIGS. 6 (c), 7 (c) and 7 (c '), the
In the above process, the
In addition, when a failure of the
In addition, as shown in FIG. 3, the auxiliary rotating body 6 'having the pair of pinions 42' arranged therein is further disposed at two positions at equal angles, so that the pair of pinions 42 'are arranged at the differential gear portion 4. Arranged so as to rotate between the
In addition, the
