Description

MULTI NUMBER SERVICE METHOD IN MOBILE COMMUNICATION SYSTEM}

1 is a block diagram of a mobile communication system to which the present invention is applied;

2 is a flowchart of an incoming call processing for multiple phone numbers of a mobile communication network according to an embodiment of the present invention;

3 is a flowchart illustrating a message incoming process for multiple phone numbers of a mobile communication network according to an embodiment of the present invention.

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION 1. Field of the Invention The present invention relates to a mobile communication system, and more particularly, to a multi-phone number service method for sharing a single mobile communication terminal by registering a plurality of users with different phone numbers in a mobile communication network.

In general, a mobile terminal can be used by a user registered as a subscriber in a mobile communication service provider only with a unique phone number given by a mobile communication service provider. Accordingly, if the user cannot use his mobile terminal, such as not carrying the mobile terminal, lost or damaged, or the battery is discharged, the user can make a phone call, send a message, receive a message, etc. Mobile service was not available. As such, when a user cannot use his or her mobile communication terminal, another user may borrow and use another's mobile communication terminal. However, in this case, a person who borrows a mobile communication terminal has to use a mobile communication service with another person's phone number instead of his own phone number. In addition, the usage fee is charged to the person who rents the mobile communication terminal.

Meanwhile, a mobile communication terminal using a subscriber identification module (SIM) card, such as a global system for mobile communications (GSM) terminal, may use a mobile communication service with its own phone number while using a single mobile communication terminal by a plurality of users. However, for this purpose, a user who wants to use the mobile communication terminal among a plurality of users should replace the SIM card installed in the mobile communication terminal with his own SIM card and use the same.

On the other hand, even in a mobile communication terminal that does not use a SIM (Subscriber Identification Module) card, a multi-phone number service that allows a plurality of users to use a mobile communication service with their own phone number has been proposed. According to this, one mobile communication terminal additionally registers or deregisters a phone number of each of a plurality of other users allowed by the original user as well as the original user as necessary. In this way, a plurality of users can use a mobile communication service with their own phone number without using a SIM card.

In the case of using the above SIM card, although a single mobile communication terminal can be used by a plurality of users, a user telephone number registered and used in a mobile communication network for one mobile communication terminal at one time point is one. It is only. That is, the mobile communication service can be received only by the user's telephone number recognized by the SIM card currently installed in the mobile communication terminal.

In contrast, according to the multi-phone number service, a plurality of user telephone numbers registered as multi-phone numbers in a mobile communication network for one mobile communication terminal are all valid. Accordingly, calls may be made simultaneously to two or more telephone numbers among multiple telephone numbers registered for one mobile communication terminal, and message incoming requests may occur simultaneously. There may also be a new call to another telephone number while in a call to one of the multiple telephone numbers. However, it is not possible to simultaneously connect incoming calls or send messages to one mobile communication terminal for multiple multiple phone numbers. Accordingly, in the multi-phone number service, a method capable of appropriately handling calls or message incoming requests simultaneously made with multiple phone numbers or a new call to another phone number while in a call with one phone number should be implemented.

In this case, since the multi-phone number service additionally registers a phone number of another user other than the original user with respect to one mobile communication terminal according to the permission of the original user, the priority is changed differently according to the user for each multi-phone number. It is preferable. That is, it is desirable to ensure priority reception among original users or users with high importance or urgency among users registered with multiple phone numbers of one mobile communication terminal.

Accordingly, the present invention provides a multi-phone number service method capable of differently processing incoming calls for multiple phone numbers registered for one mobile communication terminal according to the user of each phone number.

In addition, the present invention provides a multi-telephone number service method that can handle the message reception for the multiple phone numbers registered for one mobile communication terminal according to the user of each phone number.

According to the present invention, when there are simultaneous calls to two or more telephone numbers among multiple telephone numbers registered for a mobile communication terminal on which a multi-phone number service is executed, the priority of each of the called telephone numbers is checked. The incoming call is connected to the highest priority telephone number among the called telephone numbers, and a busy tone is sent to the calling party calling the remaining called telephone numbers.
In addition, the present invention, when there is a new call for the other phone number in the state of a call to one of the multiple phone numbers registered for the mobile communication terminal running the multi-phone number service, the phone number and the newly Check the priority set for each called telephone number. If the priority of the telephone number being called is higher than the priority of the newly called telephone number, a call tone is sent to the calling party making a new call. If the priority of the telephone number is higher than the priority of the telephone number on the call, the telephone number is shifted to the call waiting state.

In addition, the present invention, when there is a request to receive a message at the same time to two or more of the multiple phone numbers registered for the mobile communication terminal running the multi-phone number service, priority is set for each of the incoming phone numbers Check and transmit the messages to the mobile communication terminal in the order of priority of the incoming phone numbers.

The priority may be set in the order in which the corresponding multi-phone number is registered as a user in the mobile communication terminal or may be set by the user of the mobile communication terminal.

Hereinafter, preferred embodiments of the present invention will be described in detail with reference to the accompanying drawings. In the following description and the annexed drawings, detailed descriptions of well-known functions and configurations that may unnecessarily obscure the subject matter of the present invention will be omitted.

1 is a view schematically showing the configuration of a typical mobile communication system to which the present invention is applied, and two mobile communication terminals 100 and 102 communicate wirelessly with the base station 104 in a service area of the base station 104. The mobile communication service is provided to the user through the mobile communication network 106, and one mobile communication terminal 110 performs wireless communication with the base station 108 in the service area of the base station 108 to perform the mobile communication network 106. It shows an example of providing a mobile communication service to the user through. Typically, the mobile communication network 106 is provided by a mobile service provider, and includes a mobile switching center (MSC), a base station controller (BSC), a home location register / visitor location register (HLR / VLR). : Home Location Register / Visitor Location Register).

In the following description, for convenience, the mobile communication terminal 110 among the mobile communication terminals 100, 102, 110 is a mobile communication terminal executing a multi-phone number service, and the mobile communication terminals 100, 102 of the mobile communication terminal 110 are provided. Suppose you call two phone numbers individually or send a message to each of the two phone numbers. For the mobile communication terminal 110 executing the multi-phone number service, as described above, a plurality of multi-phone numbers are registered in the mobile communication network 106.

Thus, priority is set according to an embodiment of the present invention for the multiple telephone numbers registered for the mobile communication terminal 110. The priority for the multiple telephone numbers may be automatically set in the mobile communication network 106 in the order in which the corresponding multiple telephone numbers are registered as users in the mobile communication terminal 110. In this case, the priority of the telephone number of the original user of the mobile communication terminal 110 is the highest. In addition, the priority of the multiple telephone numbers may be set by the user of the mobile communication terminal 110. In this case, when the user telephone number is additionally registered in the mobile communication network 106 with respect to the mobile communication terminal 110, the original user of the mobile communication terminal 110 may set the priority. The priority set as described above may be changed if the original user of the mobile communication terminal 110 desires it.

When there is a call to two or more of the multiple phone numbers of the mobile communication terminal 110 as described above, or a request for receiving a message is generated, or another phone number is being used in a call to one of the multiple phone numbers. If there is a new call to, the mobile communication network 106 processes as described below according to the priority set for the multiple telephone numbers.

2 shows that the mobile communication network 106 performs an incoming call process for multiple phone numbers according to an embodiment of the present invention with respect to the mobile communication terminal 110 executing the multi-phone number service as described above (200). This is a flow chart shown in step (218). When there is a call to the multiple phone number registered for the mobile communication terminal 110, the mobile communication network 106 responds to this in step 200 and in response to this in step 200, the mobile communication network 106 registers for the mobile communication terminal 110. Check if there is a call to two or more of the telephone numbers at the same time. If the simultaneous call, for example, the mobile communication terminal (100, 102) calls the two telephone numbers of the multiple telephone numbers of the mobile communication terminal 110 at the same time, for the called telephone numbers in step 204 Check the priority set for each. In step 206, the incoming call is connected to the highest priority telephone number among the called telephone numbers, while a busy tone is transmitted to the calling party calling the remaining called telephone numbers. For example, the priority of the multi-phone number of the mobile communication terminal 110 called by the mobile communication terminal 100 is higher than the priority of the multi-phone number of the mobile communication terminal 110 called by the mobile communication terminal 102. On the other hand, while the incoming call is connected to the multiple phone numbers of the mobile communication terminal 110 called by the mobile communication terminal 100, the mobile communication terminal 102 transmits a call sound. Therefore, when there are simultaneous calls to two or more telephone numbers among the multiple telephone numbers registered with respect to the mobile communication terminal 110, it is discriminated depending on the user of each telephone number.

On the other hand, if the result of the check in step 202 above is not a simultaneous call, in step 208 it is checked whether the called mobile communication terminal 110 is busy. If the mobile communication terminal 110 is not in a call, the call connection can be made immediately, and thus, the incoming call connection is performed in the same manner as the normal incoming call processing in step 218. On the contrary, if the mobile communication terminal 110 is in a call, for example, the mobile communication terminal 102 is connected to one of the multiple phone numbers of the mobile communication terminal 100 and the mobile communication terminal 110 in a call state. If the call is made to another multi-phone number of the mobile communication terminal 110, in step 210, the priority of the call number and the newly called phone number is checked. If the priority of the telephone number being called is higher than the priority of the newly called telephone number in step 212, a call tone is sent to the mobile communication terminal 102, which is the calling party, in step 214. . On the other hand, when the priority of the newly called telephone number is higher than the priority of the telephone number being called, the new call is shifted to the call wait state. Accordingly, when the call ends, the incoming call connection is made with the mobile communication terminal 102 for the newly called telephone number.

3 shows that the mobile communication network 106 performs message incoming processing for the multi-phone number according to an embodiment of the present invention with respect to the mobile communication terminal 110 executing the multi-phone number service as described above (300). As a flow chart shown in step 308 to 308, for example, SMS (Short Message Service) message incoming processing is shown. The mobile communication network 106 registers the mobile communication terminal 110 in step 302 in response to the SMS message reception at the multiple phone number registered to the mobile communication terminal 110 in step 300. It is checked whether two or more telephone numbers of the multiple multiple telephone numbers are received at the same time. If the simultaneous incoming call, for example, the mobile communication terminal (100, 102) simultaneously sent SMS messages to two of the multiple phone numbers of the mobile communication terminal 110, respectively, the incoming call numbers in step 304 Check the priority set for each. Next, in step 306, SMS messages are transmitted to the mobile communication terminal 110 at regular time intervals in the order of priority of the incoming phone numbers. Therefore, when there is a message incoming to two or more telephone numbers among the multiple telephone numbers registered with respect to the mobile communication terminal 110, it is treated differently according to the user of each telephone number.

On the other hand, if the result of the check in step 302 is not a simultaneous call, in step 308, the SMS message is transmitted to the mobile communication terminal 110 as in the normal SMS message call processing.

As described above, according to the present invention, an incoming call or a message incoming to multiple mobile numbers registered with respect to one mobile communication terminal is differently processed according to the priority of each telephone number, and thus, the multiple call numbers are multi-phone numbers. There is an advantage in that it is possible to properly handle simultaneous calls or message incoming requests or a new call to another phone number while on the phone with one phone number. In addition, it is possible to guarantee a priority call to the original user or a user of high importance or urgency among users registered with multiple phone numbers of one mobile communication terminal.
