본 발명은 디지털 방송 시스템에서 유해한 프로그램의 시청을 보다 편리하게 제한하는 기술에 관한 것이다. 이러한 본 발명은, 채널정보에 대한 자동 스캔을 수행하여 시청등급 정보가 실린 디지털 채널 맵을 작성한 후 각 채널에 대한 시청등급의 존재 유무를 확인하는 제1과정과; 상기 확인결과 시청등급의 정보가 존재하면, 현재 시간대의 방송 프로그램의 시청등급 을 확인하는 제2과정과; 상기 확인 결과를 근거로 등급별로 정렬하여 시청등급 안내 리스트를 작성하여 디스플레이하는 제3과정과; 상기 디스플레이된 시청등급 안내 리스트 중에서 선택된 채널을 시청금지 채널로 설정하는 제4과정에 의해 달성된다.The present invention relates to a technique for more conveniently restricting viewing of harmful programs in a digital broadcasting system.
