상기한 바와 같이 본 발명은 텔레비전의 채널을 설정하여 채널맵을 형성할 때 검색된 채널에 대해 순차적으로 표시되되 기억된 채널과 지운 채널이 각각 분리되어 표시되도록 함으로써 채널의 설정상태를 쉽게 파악할 수 있도록 할 뿐만 아니라 해당 채널에 대한 기억과 지움을 해당 채널에서의 방향키로 선택함에 따라 설정되도록 하며 선호채널의 설정시 마킹되도록 하여 편리하게 채널을 편집할 수 있는 이점이 있다.
