Abstract

A refrigerator having a cover for extending the height of a door shelf is provided to mount the foldable cover plate on an upper end of a door shelf, thereby extending the height of the door shelf by standing the foldable cover plate up to keep tall objects in the door shelf safely and increase space utility between the door shelves. A refrigerator includes a cover(70) for extending the height of a door shelf(10), wherein the cover has a cover plate(71) hinge-coupled with an upper end of a rim of an outer plate of the door shelf in the horizontal direction, wherein the cover plate and the upper end have two hinge parts(72,73) formed of hinge pins and hinge holes respectively, and the cover plate is foldable.
