Abstract

A digital broadcast receiver and a control method thereof are provided to improve user's convenience by improving the key interface of service application. A receiving unit(110) receives service application including an application key interface. A storage unit(130) stores a common key interface. A control unit(150) organizes matching information by connecting the key data of the application key interface and the key data of the common key interface. A key receiving unit(120) receives key data inputted by a user. The control unit processes the key data received in the key receiving unit by using the matching information so that the service application can be operated.
