The present invention relates to a backlight brightness control apparatus for notebooks.

이러한 평판표시장치로는 LCD(Liquid Crystal Display), PDP(Plasma Display Panel), FED(Field Emission Display) 등이 활발히 연구되고 있지만, 양산화 기술, 구동수단의 용이성, 고화질의 구현이라는 이유로 인해 현재에는 액정표시장치(LCD)가 각광받고 있다.In general, as the development of various portable electronic devices such as mobile phones, PDAs, notebooks, the need for a flat panel display device (flat panel display device) that can be applied thereto is gradually increasing. Liquid crystal display (LCD), plasma display panel (PDP), field emission display (FED), etc. are being actively researched as such flat panel display devices. Display devices (LCDs) are in the spotlight.

In addition, portable electronic devices, such as notebook computers, which are equipped with a display device (LCD) and mainly use battery power rather than an AC input power source, have a backlight, which is a light emitting source, to make the content displayed on the LCD more accurate and clear. In this case, the backlight is mainly used a Cold Cathode Fluore Lamp (CCFL).

At this time, in most portable devices such as notebook computers, an inverter and a sensor for measuring the brightness of the surroundings are provided as a power source for driving the cold cathode fluorescent lamp. The driving current is applied to adjust the brightness.

However, in the related art, a sensor capable of sensing an ambient brightness signal is attached to a case portion of a system (laptop, LCD monitor, TV, etc.) so that the ambient brightness detected by the sensor is connected to a printed circuit board (PCB). The brightness of the backlight is controlled by using long wires to be delivered to the inverter.

At this time, the longer the wire is provided, the poorer the signal transmission due to negotiation (disturbance) with other signals, which may cause malfunction of the brightness control device of the backlight, thereby reducing the efficiency of the LCD brightness. There is a problem.

The present invention has been made to solve the above problems of the prior art, an object of the present invention is to provide a backlight brightness control device for a notebook to prevent malfunction due to transmission error of the signal detected through the sensor.

In accordance with an aspect of the present invention, there is provided a backlight backlight control apparatus for a notebook computer including a sensor for measuring ambient brightness for backlight brightness control, the system cover of an LCD and an inverter PCB.
