Abstract

An optical engine apparatus is provided to enlarge the containing space of a color wheel, thereby improving the efficiency of heat transfer by forming a depression portion at a region where the heat transfer is most activated. A base unit(10) has a color wheel mounting part(11) with an opening. A color wheel(2) is installed at the color wheel mounting part(11). A color wheel cover(20) is coupled with the base unit(10) to cover the opening of the color wheel mounting part(11). The color wheel cover(20) has a depression portion, which is depressed from a plane of the color wheel(2) correspondingly to a plane direction of the color wheel(2). The depression portion of the color wheel cover(20) increases the contact area with the heat generated from the color wheel(2).
