Claims (6)
- 양극, 음극, 세퍼레이터로 이루어진 전극 조립체, 상기 전극 조립체 및 전해액을 수용하는 용기형 캔, 상기 캔의 상단에 위치하여 전극 조립체가 투입되는 입구가 되는 캔 개구부를 마감하는 캡 어셈블리를 구비하여 이루어지는 캔형 이차 전지에 있어서,상기 캔은 단면이 직사각형인 각형 캔이고 상기 직사각형의 단변부에만 또는 모서리부에만 상기 캔의 측벽의 두께가 얇게 형성되어 상기 캔 개구부 내측에 단차에 의한 저단부가 형성되고, 상기 캡 어셈블리 측면이 상기 저단부와 면하도록 상기 캔 내측에 끼워지고, 상기 캡 어셈블리 주연부와 상기 캔 개구부와의 용접부가 상기 캡 어셈블리의 상면쪽에 형성되는 것을 특징으로 하는 캔형 이차 전지.
- 제 1 항에 있어서,상기 캔 측벽에서 상기 저단부가 형성되는 너비가 상기 캡 어셈블리의 캡 플레이트의 두께와 동일하게 이루어지는 것을 특징으로 하는 캔형 이차 전지.
